Hey guys, I'm looking for some opinions here. I've gotten a $15k loan from the bank, and i'm looking at getting a 180sx, but everytime i go into the garage i see the zed sitting there asking to be driven. It's a 1975 2+2 without an engine but with just about everything else as far as i know. I don't know whether i should spend the $15k on the zed or buy a 180sx. What does everyone think? Bear in mind if i spend it on the zed, i'll want the zed to be able to perform as good as or better than a 180sx to make it worth it. Eg, aircon, fast, good handling, good interior. I don't want to do a half job, i want a nice car. Is it possible to do this with $15k? Also i can't do muc…

Hi guys, First post here, have been reading through many threads over the past few weeks, could not find very many speciific to body kits in Australia. So its time for my first car, and my brother happens to have a 1981 280zx 2+2 tbar roof. Its in resonable condition. I'm doings some research and seeing if its worth taking it off his hands and spending some money on it. As i'd love to do it. I've pretty much found prices for most of the things i was after. One thing i would like in the future is the MSA Aero Kit 2 Body Kit..... Is this available in Australia? I can not find anything about it. I have emailed The Z Store, but never recieved a reply. I'm not sure if they sh…

Hey everyone, Just logged on because i have recently moved from Townsville to Toowoomba and i thought i would see if there is much zcar action happening in the garden city. However i have discovered that there hasn't been a post here for nearly two months?! Now i know it's been a few years since i was a regular poster but i am amazed! Let's get some support going again for this great repository of zcar knowledge! Also on another (somewhat related) note, i am still looking for a project car in ok condition, 240z or 2-seater 260z. I hope that the interest in this forum picks back up again. Thanks everyone!:classic:

Dropped into the RSL for a quick hello and a can of coke. A couple of the blokes were talking about speed traps. One was saying how the BLOODY COPS had booked him for doing 80 in a 60 zone. BLOODY COPS this and BLOODY COPS that was the tone of the conversation. I asked him if he KNEW he was doing 80 in a 60 zone. He said yes. When I asked how he could possibly blame the BLOODY COPS for his own actions he gave me a dirty look and left. Drivers who KNOWINGLY speed and get booked for it will NEVER get sympathy from me. Such stupidity does NOT show how GOOD a driver is, it only shows how bloody irresponsible he/she is. Irresponsible driving can and does cause death and in…

Can someone with a 240Z in Australia (NSW would be even better) please check their rego papers and tell me what the 'Tare Weight' is listed as. I think mine might be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time the RTA stuffed something up though. After coming off my license suspension they gave me a Gold license which you need a clean record for. :stupid: Please check rego papers though, I can't use guesses. Mine is listed as 1620 which looks very wrong. Also, what's the correct definition of 'Tare weight'? Is it car + full tank + driver or just car + full tank. Cheers
