Hi All, Im re-doing the entire suspension on my '72 240z and am looking for an opinion from someone who has a similar set up to what I am after. I have already purchased a set of lowered king springs and am looking for a set of shocks to go with them. I didnt want to spend a whole bucket on the shocks and am looking at KYB at this stage at about $400 for all four. Has anyone got this setup, or can anyone foresee any problems using standard shocks with lowered springs. In an extreme case, I guess the spring could dislodge when the shocks are at full travel. Any ideas of an alternate set-up and price would be great. It doesnt seem real easy to source shocks for a 240 i…

hi everyone, i have a set of triple webers on my 260z but they suck air from inside the engine bay. hot air. anyways i was wondering if people have fitted custom cold air boxes to there zeds and if they have would the please be able to post pics and give me some dimensions of the box. Cheers, Tom.

I have seen some very cost effective "Premier" brand ball joints for sale and am wondering if there is any risk involved. What brands did you Aussies go for when you replaced yours, I haven't priced from nissan yet, but going by everything else i have priced/bought there, i dont think I want to.

Just saw this today and couldnt believe my eyes. Does this guy really want to sell this car so cheap, or is he just hoping that heaps of people are going to outbid each other, or is it just a typo. Just wondering if there is anywhere on this site/forum where someone has written something like a diary explaining the process they took doing up their Zed. I tried to look but couldn't find a single thread or page where someone's written it all from start to finish. Is there one on here? If so what do i search for? And is there any anyone else knows about on other sites?

I just watched the article on 60 Minutes about applying more restrictions to P platers in australia. There aree talks to have a 10pm to 5am no driving curfew, and to not allow p-platers to have passengers that are either not on their opens or under 20. I for one think this is bullshit, especially the passenger bit. I know that i for one work a job where sometimes i don't start or finish until midnight, and i don't expect my mother to take me to or pick me up from work. Plus the fact that i enjoy going out at night. Just looking for points of views on the subject!

Hey Guys. Just a quick question about my new Z, i havnt really had a chance to test the power as yet and i thought that you guys might be able to use your experience and give me an idea about power output. It is a L28 with 200B flat top pistons and bored out to 2.9. It has a P40 head (US turbo unit i believe) and triple 35mm Webbers. I has a ground cam and flywheel (cam not that lumpy) mated to a FJ 20 5sp with a 2.5 system. Its a very torquey motor, 1st revs hard but is basically for moving forward and the shift to 2nd is a tricky one, from there is smooth shifting. And driving it nicely to work means driving it slowly, until you get into 2nd and 3rd anyway. Just tho…
