Hello all aussies, I have decided to go the whole hog on my 240Z and source a set of Watanabe rims. So I am offering this set up for sale, its a set of 5, four with good tyres and centre caps, all are highly polished, can take more pics on request and email them to you. I will take the highest/first offer that I consider to be reasonable, if you want them shipped, I can have the tyres removed, but you must sort out a way to get them to you. Cheers Chris

Anyone secretly want to defy "classic-ism" and step into the comfort of the modern decade? I thought why spend $30k on a car without a few comforts. I have been in touch with a steering business in QLD and they will produce a power steering setup for the Z, only catch is I am in Melbourne and cant leave my car with them. They usually charge approx $600 for a kit or $1100 installed. If anyone in Queensland is interested in power steering for their Z it would be great as it would a kit to be developed and I could have one sent down.

The "Nissan" vin plate in my '74 260Z is really badly faded and almost unreadable. Any thoughts on how to improve the clarity or is there anyway to get a replacment ?

As in title. I thought the 260Z's were all supposed to have an electric pump as well as the mechanical pump? Mine sure as hell aint got one. I've been having a few vapour lock problems now that I have the car back....or what I am assuming is vapour lock anyway. Almost 40 deg days aren't helping. Basically, whenever I get hard on the power it'll be fine through 1st, then either up in the revs in second or into 3rd, it'll just loose all power. Back off and it's fine. The problem is alot worse when the car heat soaks after a drive. Yesterday I gave it a boot leaving the servo upto about 80, then looses power.....and it kept on doing it for a few minutes to the point t…

Guys, I am interested in your opinion on what I should do with my zed. I spent the last six months looking for a reasonably rust free 260 2+2, Like anybody I would prefer a 2 seater but the GLW (Good Lady Wife) did not want to exclude our kids. To cut a long story short I settled on my current car, a 74 2+2, standard except for wheels. I traded off the fact that it was an auto for the lack of rust. It has the usual cosmetic rust but nothing in the floor/firewall/doors etc. The original plan was to fit a 5 speed and respray the car to a more pleasing color (it is light metallic blue with white interior), and then slowly trick up the suspension, brakes, engine etc. My di…

I have a little problem where my fuel tank will fill to the point that fuel will run out the over flow (middle of car behind the bumper) before the bowser will click off. It's a pain because it means I can't fully fill my tank with out leaving a big puddle of fuel under my car.....not very safe! Oh and leaves me lookin pretty silly! Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on what's wrong or how to fix it?

I've owned my zed for 8 months now and it's only been on the road for the first month of that. Not only was I sold a dud (cleverly disguised dud), but the path to getting it fixed has been just as rocky. The panel shop doing the rust/chassis work took four months, did a sh*t job and it got broken into twice while there.....which of course their insurance wont cover. It's getting all the mechanical work done now by my mechanic (a zed owner himself) and should finally be back on the road next week. (that's the very very very short version of all my troubles with it.....don't wanna keep you here all day) I'm really starting to think now the car has just been tainted b…

Well after the longest 3 days ever, my Z finally made it across the Nullabor to Perth yesterday. Am I excited? Oooo yeah! The P.O. even replaced one tyre and steam cleaned the engine before it was collected by the transporter - bonus! I eased it into the garage after an extended scenic drive home and stood there for about half an hour just looking at it. Tried to leave the garage about 3 times to go inside but couldn't get out the door - had to keep turning back to look! Here it is:
