I've got a '74 V8 Z with some very nice Simmons 3pc wheels. but I've managed to lose a center cap and can't find anyone in the US that knows ANYTHING about the manufacturer. I know they came from Australia so I'm hoping someone on this forum may have an idea on how to get in touch with the company. I've searched the net with no luck. Any suggestions out there?? Thanks! -------------engine--------------- 240z carbs with k&N filters 6-2-1 extractors, 2.25" exhaust with a fat dump tip 280zx distributer and coil (new breaker plate from keilor nissan) 5spd is out of a 82 280zx with 20k old clutch 3.9 ratio R200 Rear diffearential from a 280zx engine is basically stock, but with a tad more compression than original, and larger pistons 40cc rather the stock 36cc i think they are, all work done by truline performance in essendon. The engine had $1800 just in parts and machine work, spent on it last year but its only done around 20k since rebuild, and treated right. I've replaced that many parts in the car that i've spent ove…

I have a 4/74 260z coupe without seat belts, my w/shop manual shows a retractor mechanisim mounted on a bracket on the strut tower then the belt going through a guide along side the seat at shoulder height , i have also seen this on a 76 model. has anyone seen an early 260 2 seater with the same belts as a 240 because i cant see where the retractor mechanism bracket would attach to the tower , i e betweem the strut cap and the rear quarter panel.

As some of you already know I've been looking at a V8 240Z from QLD. Last week around this time I purchased the car and had it shipped down. It finally arrived today and I'm exstatic. The car is more than I expected and also less then I expected (if that makes sense). What I mean is, it is an excellent car but needs a little bit of cosmetic work to get it to it's former glory of Z Nationals concours winning state. It's got stone chips and chipped interior, loose carpet, no carpet in some parts, dud handbrake and wipers etc etc The power is all there and the potential for more is within easy reach. Just apply money. It'll be a while before I can get some work done to it…

Looking at some new forged pistons for my FJ20DET engine. Stewart Wilkins Rallying has Wiseco brand for $1080 a set with rings but I believe that some places make up pistons to order. Any recommendations, suggestions?

Hi guys. It's amazing to see such a large bunch of people dedicated to the Z car series. Anyway, I'm live in Brisbane and am looking at buying my first 240Z. I just had a few questions that I thought you guys could help out with. Because they don't come up very often I wasn't too sure what price I can expect to pay. I'm probably looking around the $8000 to $10,000 mark for something in good to excellent condition. Is this reasonable? Also, what should I be looking for in a 240Z. Are they prone to rust in certain areas? gearbox problems? or anything like that. It would be great if someone could give me some advice. Nathan
