I made it. Went on a cruise to Hawkesbury Heights, over 3 hrs (down in daylight) from home and 3 hrs (back at night) to home no breakdowns. Got on the motorway north of Newcastle set up in 5th with the rpm at about 3700 on the Tacho all the way to Hornsby (used minor bursts of throttle to separate out from the occasional traffic). joined the moving car park on the roads thru Pennant Hills, Thornleigh, turning for Castlehill, Kellyville and thru Windsor to Richmond. Short run towards Penrith on Castlereagh road to Agnes Banks, cross the Nepean on the rickety old low water bridge at Yarramundi , then of exorcising the suspension up the pass to top of the escarpm…

I have noticed here in Australia there are two very distinct classes of Datsun enthusiasts. In the blue corner we have the 1600/1200/utes/sedans/wagons and in the red corner we have 240/260/280/Z cars. Can anyone shed some light on the reasons for the seperations between Datsun enthusiasts? Cheers

Well all you SA ppl, sitting in a dealers yard on main north road (the one opposite scottys motel) is a very neat looking white 2+2 260, complete with a 1 owner sticker on the windscreen, I've been going to uni before it opens, and coming back after it closes, but it sure looks well worth a look, no price indicated on it yet. Cheers Chris

:classic: :classic: :classic: I just checked out the other Regional sites. North, South, East, West and Central America seems to be mostly asleep. However, with the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, well, it appears that no ones home. Just shows what a bunch of nice, friendly, talkative people we Aussies are. Rick.

Well I was in the local model shop today near uni, trying to kill some time between uni finishing, and the drinking starting, as usual on the prowl for a nice and ok priced 240z model. Well having just about given up, finding only a 432R model, I looked up on the shelf to see a limited edition re-released model by (can't remember, could be koyosho? some japanese company). However here is the problem, it costs a mint, and the guy wont open the box unless i buy it, in which case i can open the box anyhow. Well its a re-released model kit for one of the EAS cars, its a good scale 1:12, I'd rather have a stock looking car, does anyones local model shop have one of the 240Z ki…

Went for my first cruise throught the Lower Hunter region NSW today. First blast in my 240z since September 02. I had an aborted attempt to do this trip on Australia day but prior to departure I had an electrical fault the airflow meter mechanical side, the air door had frozen solid ( engine would not accelerate off idle). Today I got on the road, travelled down past the local airport spoted some classic Z's parked and stored around this house 5 x HS30,1x GS30 and 1 x GRS30. who said all the cars are gone. These cars are in light storage in the weather visible from the road, 30KM from Newcastle NSW. I continued my cruise down to Hexam and on to Maitland, more fuel and the…

They're finally in!! I had originally intended to use the front rail mounts and some flat steel and have the rails extend past the rear mounting holes on the floor. However, on the passenger side the rear rail holes lined up perfectly with the floor mounts, so I then measured 320mm forward from the rear holes and drilled a hole though each rail which lined up with the front Z seat mount hole. This meant that the front rail mount extends past the front floor mount by about 80mm or so. Ultimately, if I am happy with them mounted this way I will cut of part of the front mounting bracket. On the drivers side I found that the seat rails were about 25mm wider than the passenge…
