I saw a new Shannons advert on the weekend featuring a green 240z, with two other cars (A blue triumph spitfire, and an xy Falcon from memory). Was on during the motor racing on channel 10. Anybody else see it?

I know it is short notice, but I will be heading down to Wakefield again this sunday for an open practice day. Forecast is frosty to sunny, so temps should be nice and chilly. They don't often have practice days on the weekend so it should be a good day out! rough costs off the top of my head are: 100 for the day 40 for a license if you dont have a cams one already and you need a helmet and long sleeved clothing

posted this on the newcastle boards and though i might get a response here as well so... i don't really keep in touch with the market so i would appreciate some info from someone in the know. how often do 240's come up for sale and has the price increased considerably in the last 5 years? are we seeing a lot of owners realising that they own something rare thus holding on to them? is it going to get worse?

Well I finally found some time to install new bearings and rotors. After spending much time thinking about upgrades I settled for solid slotted and cross drilled rotors. Some considered options were changing calipers to someting like Z32 calipers but thought it to be too much work at the moment. The wieght issues of the 4x4 Hilux brakes concerned me. Vented discs would be nice but since it's not a track car probably not that beneficial. So I decided I wanted something that would improve my stopping power when needed occasioanlly and look nice through the wheels. The DBA rotors I got do this and look good I reckon. Pics attached. They costed me AUD$320.00. Still gotta …

Just stumbled across this rare beast. While I realise it won't be everyone's cup of tea (I know it's not really mine) I do take an interest in it. http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/classifieds/index.php?a=15&b=135 I've seen these in race trim before and they scrub up alright. I'd be interested to know if they did alright. I believe it's FWD something of an oddity for the era for Datsun anyway.

OK, so I have a few extras I want to get rid of. I'll probabl think of/find other stuff later, so if I do, I'll add it to the list. I'll post some pics after dinner when my camera has charged. A set or rear calipers and discs off a 1983 280zx, including flexi lines. Front calipers off the same car. A 15/16in master cylinder, including the proportioning bit that is below it off the same car. These brake parts worked fine when they came off the car, and have been sitting in my garage for about a year or so. R200 off the same car. Rear left hand strut casing, stub axle and control arm from a 240z or 260z Drivers door window in good nick with the metal parts still at…

Hey guys I was just wondering as i can't really get a clear answer on this.... Did any Australian 240z come with 55mm diamtre struts or were they all 51mm??? Some people say that they were all 51mm some people are saying that some of the very late models are 55mm... Is this true and if so how can you tell without removing the struts which ones you have.... Josh
