Anybody with a working 240z windshield washer sprayer mind taking a picture of the end of the nozzle? Mine seem to have been mangled by the previous owner. My pump was dead when I got the car and I finally replaced it, and I get a steady limp wide stream of water that comes almost to the windshield. All I can find is tips on using wire to de-clog the system, but I'm thinking with how chewed up mine are I think somebody might've reamed out the nozzles too far. Smaller orifice should provide more pressure and therefore distance, right? The closest picture to the business end of a (ostensibly functioning) nozzle is from this ebay listing and it looks pretty flat and eve…

About a month after I bought my car every time I would start my car it would crank and crank and crank and crank till finally it turned over. This got worse and worse over time but now it is just the same every time I try to start my car. I have been told it could be a cold start valve but other people say it has to be really cold outside for the cold start valve to even turn on. Please help, I need to get her running right again. It is a 1983 280zx non-turbo Please help Ive been told as I said before I have been told it has to be below freezing before the cold start valve starts working. Is this correct?

I have a set of very slightly used triples on my Z. I discovered while trying to adjust the idle mixture screws, that the very tips of 4 of these have seated themselves in the body of the carbs, and have broken off. It appears that the PO might have overtightened them. I am able to completely remove all of the screws. It is the tips (about the diameter of a paper clip) that are stuck. My attempts to remove them have proven unsuccessful. If I play with them anymore, I fear I will do damage. Does anyone have experience with this? If needed, I'll ship them off to a pro. Thanks for your help!

I need my starter to start my car by this weekend. It has other plans though. With vigorous beatings it will start turning the car over. Does anyone know how to open one of these dammed things? I need to at least try and fix this one as I'm not sure when the local flaps will get one in. So anybody got an idea? Are other ones that will work in it's place that the local shops might carry?

I have just bought a datsun 280z 77 for $1000 just down the road from me, it has some damage to the headlight and front bumper, but nothing major and of course it doesn't look great. But it starts and runs and I am so excited to be fixing it up. I think I got a good price at 1K, it looks rough, but underneath someone else's white paint job it is my favourite z blue colour and it is a genuine 2 seater. The sound it made and the acceleration were impressive!! Any tips on what to do first would be greatly appreciated, the bumper and light cone first I guess, but a basic list of things to swap out would be very helpful. I will be fixing it myself, I don't think it is a lemon…

The steering wheel in my 1971 Z has developed an annoying, irritating rubbing/squeeling sound when I turn the wheel at low speeds. Any idea what this is and how to fix it? I recently installed a new turn signal switch. Is it possible this is the cause of the problem?

Hey guys, i'm working on a 77 280z that I just got the longblock back from the rebuilder. Problem is, they didn't put the front cover back on, so I don't know which way the worm gear goes on. Does the bevel side go on facing in or out? I assume that the big dished washer goes on the outside with the depression facing the worm gear? I'm stuck till I get this resolved, then I hope to get it up and running by the weekend! Thanks

I have a buddy Canadian stuck on his way to JCCS in LA with a dead 75 280. Is there anyone able to provide local support? Call or txt Ken one 306 three four one 42 33 if you can help him out. Howdy, New member. I have a 78 280z without factory air and heater will not get hot. I have replaced the thermostat and checked all operating controls and vent flaps. They all seem to be working. Any suggestions?
