Good Evening All, Just doing some pre road checklist for my 1975 280z when I came across these wires and I wanted to make sure if these are necessary in order to drive because the car seems to run just fine. First, we have here is a lose ground wire which I'm not sure where it connects. Then, we have this wire which is just wrapped up in another wire. (see red circle) which happens to be coming from the firewall... Up next, the interior wires. If anyone can identify these wires, It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Good evening everyone, I hope someone can help me with this. I took a box of parts to a plating shop and the guy lost one piece. Hopefully someone has one they can hook me up with. What I am looking for is the "L" shaped stiffener plate that goes on the drivers side rear portion of the oil pan. I believe it has nine holes in it. I am in metro Atlanta and if anyone has this piece laying around and would be willing to sell it that would be a great help in getting this engine rebuild finished up. If you are in the Atlanta area, or know of a salvage yard or Z specialist, in the area and could point me in the right direction, that would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advanc…

Hi everyone: I have a great mechanic that knows Z's who built my car and has done some recent work on it. He's totally perplexed by this problem. Last year, the car would bog with light acceleration. In attempt to fix it this year, this is what has been done: oil change oil filter change new spark plugs install of an electronic fuel pump install of electronic ignition After this was done, the car ran beautifully. Smooth acceleration, no stalling on stops, for two trips - driving home and the next morning on the way to a golf course out of town. Two things happend - I filled the car with premium fuel (as usual) and we had a flash rain storm. On the way …

Just bought a 77 280z with auto trans. I try to change the auto trans fluid. I have changed trans fluid on a few other cars. The drain plug is usually located on the trans pan. But I can't seem to find the transmission oil drain plug in the 280z. Any ideas?

I've searched the threads for an answer and come empty. All the vacuum lines to the heat control have been checked and/or replaced. The A/C has been recharged and shows 70 lbs. of pressure. All the wire controlled valves and flappers are working. What I get is no cold air and no heat. Sometimes I get cool air thru the defrost vents and from the bottom vents when set to heat, I can also get cool air from the center vents at times unless the control is first put to defrost and the back to other settings. I'm lost once again!

Hi all, I'm having trouble keeping my 75 280z to stay running so I'm attempting to go over the car making sure all the connections and lines are good and found one wire that was just hanging. I believe it to be the Temp switch, not sensor if I'm not mistaken. I've read that even this little guy can cause the car to run poorly or not run at all.... In my case I need to have my foot on the gas to stay on but even so its very rough and dies. If you guys have any tips of a possible cause that would be fantastic. As of now can you fellows point me to this switch, I've found some online but they all look the same and are mostly always listed as the temp sensor not switch.…
