Just picked up some Interpart louvers for 1972 240z. They came off of a 1972 with all of the hardware except the key. My questions: Procedures/suggestions for getting the mounts under the window rubber; advice on finding keys or unlocking the locks; making the dull louver shiny. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks to all!

I've been doing my research on valve adjusting. I understand it is a simple procedure. However, how do I tell the intake and exhaust valves apart? Thanks!

OK, I have a 75 280 which has a 79 N47 block with an N42 head which has just been cleaned up with valve job and milling .010 to level it out, new injectors (stock), new fuel line (rubber), new fuel filter, new vacuum lines, new AFM and throttle body boots, new connectors on the entire EFI harness. The engine starts but when accelerator rod is pushed, nothing, no revs, just keeps idling then dies. After it dies it won't start unless the fuel line is pinched off. Fuel pressure is there but not measured, we've checked the thermotine, temp sensor and CSV all checked out. The mechanic and I are kinda at a loss any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I read the write up on this and headed to the JY, I pulled a motor from a 91 Civic. But the mount and pigtail are diffrent than the one in the write up. Mine has four mounting bolts and a round wire conector. Anyone else been able to make this one work or is back to the JY for another one? Can send a picture if that would help?? Thanks, W

My idle drops 1 2

I have a 77 280z with an unmodified F54 block and N47 head. I get right around 17 Hg vacuum at idle (~800 RPM) and remains relatively steady (tested the vacuum at the intake manifold at the brake booster hose). There is very slight fluctuation in the vacuum between 1 maybe 2 units but it seems to follow the idle, the idle isn't perfectly smooth but not that bad. So my problem is, after I rev the engine up, the RPM's when returning to idle, will drop down to ~500, stutter for a second then climb back up to ~800 RPM. It does this after I drop the clutch when I'm in gear driving as well, like when I'm coming to a stop. The engine has never stalled but it does feels like it's…

Putting my 73 back together and found mounting bosses for choke cable bracket broken off. Anyone encounter this and what was your repair. I'm thinking of epoxying two nuts to the back of the console.

hey guys. Quick rookie question: What tools are needed to adjust the valves on a 78? I already have a socket set, and screwdrivers. This will be my first time. Thanks!

I purchased a car and I'm trying to figure out this wing. It says Nismo on top and it's a one piece. Also has holes ready to screw on bottom. It's factory where you can just insert a bolt underneath through the hatch. Im curious what kit it is and what's is value. Plus, if it's a real authentic Nismo, considering many thought it was.

hello, this is my first post here, as i just bought my 1974 260z! i looked on this forum and others for an answer to this and have decided to join this forum as it seems to be a bit more mature than some others. anyway.... i'm not new to cars, but am new to this Z, so i figure i would ask before diving buying parts. symptoms; 1 car revs to about 3k rpm when not moving and brake pedal is depressed. 2 no power brakes(barely stops) if this was a car i was more familiar with, i would guess compromised diaphragm in brake booster. thoughts? thanks in advance -the wombat
