Just wondering if anyone has ever rebuilt an Datsun clutch master cylinder using a Black Diamond kit? Since the kit is only and $10 and a new one is $35, I was thinking about saving the $25 and rebuilding it. If anyone has ever rebuilt one with success, please let me know any tricks of the trade.

Hi! The owner before me smacked the Z with his RV and now the front is kind of off. I bought the car, repainted the fender but I'm clueless on how to fix it and make the front even again. Any suggestions?

I'm soaking my fuel pump from my 70 z in a bucket of Berryman's. I didn't think about it at the time, but is this a bad idea? Are there rubber/plastic parts that react badly to carb cleaner? Since I have it all apart - if I decide to or have to replace it, I saw on my Ztherapy video he recommends replacing with a 280zx oil pump. Anyone done this or know about it? Thank you in advance...

Issue #1 - When switched on, the hazard lights only blink on the passenger side of the car. (The right arrow on the dashboard display is also the only arrow blinking when the hazard lights switch is turned on.) Issue #2 - The brake light is only working on the driver's side. All bulbs have been checked, and are functional. Are the two issues related? Any insight would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!

Just found out my engine wasn't stock, and someone had put in a L28ET and attached all other parts from the 280z. I'm wondering what can I do to try and help my fuel economy currently(getting 15mpg no matter how I drive). I understand the low compression isn't great for N/A, but I can't afford to convert all the way to turbo currently. Is there a different way to set my timing, AFM adjustment, or even my valve lash to help until I get the other parts together?

So the problem i am having is kind of hard to explain. I wanted to take my z out for a drive tonight but it seems i cant. This is a stock 72 240z. The motor idles fine and revs great like it should, but the problem is when i try and drive the car. When i step on the gas pedal to get going, the car wont go. I have to lightly press on the pedal to get the car up to speed. I dont hear any unwanted noise from anywhere. The clutch and flywheel are in ok shape because i just recently put the engine back together not to long ago. spark plugs are only about 3 weeks old. Could my distributor be the problem? Any idea? Thanks, Brent

Well, I'm sure this is a rookie mistake, but the back bolt that connects the alternator to forged piece that connect to the block vibrated out and disappeared causing the alternator to vibrate and torque, and I removed the front bolt to use a model at the parts store. I have the 8 X 25 mm bolts but... Now, I can't get either back in, as the alignment is just a bit off. So, any advice would be much appreciated. This is a 1975 280z manual transmission. Thanks very much

OK so I just got my open headers fixed today and as a result can finally hear something other than the engine. But, I'm feeling and hearing a small jolt when I engage the clutch. Is this normal or am I just now noticing it now that I can hear it?
