I've replaced my pads and also my rotors; however I still get a squeel whenver I brake at low speeds. Do I need to rebuild my calipers, or would there be another reason for this? If I have to rebuild them, where can I buy the parts needed and what parts would they be? Thanks

I have a 74 260 z. She has had some troble with starting. I rebuilt her but the wireing is so back wards I literaly can't get it straight. It died on me on my way back from a dent. app. luckily i had a timing light in the car so i could tell the coil stoped getting power. So I ran a wire straight from the battery to the coil for about 45 miles until I found the EGR valve wire was running 6/8 volts and hooked it to the ignition coil. Having long ago removing the EGR entirely. Then a month later the starter just stops working, New starter btw, and rechecked. Tried to wire the seat belt safty togther and all I got was the relay by the fusible link next to the battery mo…

I just bought my first pair of project cars, (two '76 280Zs and I am PSYCHED about them!! ) and both doors on both cars are locked from the outside, but not the inside. I can climb through the hatch and open the doors fine from the inside, and the lock isn't down inside, but once I exit the car and close the door, it is locked! is this some kind of safety feature? is there a way to undo it? or is something broken/stuck? i haven't tried using the key to unlock it (just thought of that, whoops); would that help? (maybe i should have tried that xD). any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

I took apart my door and lubed everything up because it was hard to open and the handle needed to be tightened down. Before I did this, I could lock my doors from the outside and then shut them and it would stay locked (both sides). Now after lubing everything, my door locks will pop open when I shut the door while locked. My key only works to "unlock" my door, and will not lock it. How can I remove this feature because it obviously was working just fine without it before lube.

Are there any pointers to this procedure? I am hoping my Haynes manual at home has this in it. I heard that generally I need to pry off a couple bolts? Thanks!

Does anyone have for sale, the rubber bellows that goes around the throttle linkage inside the engine compartment and up against the fire wall? Mine caught on fire and is destroyed? Don't ask.

Replaced the intake gasket of my 78 280Z only to find the car no longer would run well. When I take the hose off the AFM, it runs strong. I figure my AFM is bad which is probably why my intake gasket blew out (so the engine could breathe). Thoughts? Anyone have a 5 pin, 3 bolt tested AFM for sale? Thanks! Jeff Woodard

Dear Fellow Z Enthusiasts: I just noticed I am missing one of the through bolts on my 1975 280z alternator, the lower one of the three. These are show on page EE-16 of the FSM in figure EE-35, but the FSM doesn't give a diameter, thread length or length for the bolts. While searching another forum, I found this: The alternator has 2 12mm headed bolts at the base, and a 14mm head bolt on the adjustment bracket on top. The connections on the back are 10 and 8mm. You take the three mounting/adjustment bolts loose, take the wires off the back, and take the alternator up and out to the rear of the radiator hose towards the oil filter. Piece of cake. If this is correct, then …

I need info on the correct position of the fuel sender O ring. The schematic shows it between the sender and lock ring. Some posts discussed ways to keep it from slipping when tightening the lock ring but I also read a post saying the ring goes between the tank and fuel sender, then the lock ring.
