Hello all, I have gotten my Z to the point where it is time to turn it over and see what happens. So far nothing. It is not getting any spark at the plugs or at the wire coming out of the ignition coil that leads to the distributor. I tried to follow the wiring from the Haynes manual but it shows only 1 positive wire at the ignition coil and I have 3. 2 of them beep on the multimeter ONLY when the ignition is turned and the third one beeps at all times. Then I have one negative coming through the wire bundle as well that connects just above the distributor. I am getting power into the ignition coil just not out of it. What am I doing wrong here??

I am trying to adjust the toe on the front end of my 1971 240Z but I am having no luck loosening the jam nuts that keep the tension between the tie rod ends and the steering rack. I have tried penetrating oil and a propane torch. I can't seem to get either side to budge. I'm pretty sure the driver's side has reverse thread and passenger side is normal. Other than that is there anything I am missing that is keeping me from getting this nut loose? Here is a picture of my problem nut from the passenger side...

Hi, this is my first post in this forum and I came because I have a weird problem with my nissan. every day my car was working well until one day walking switches off after 20 minutes I start it, the next day will not start if there is spark at the spark plug. and all day I could not get it to start. The next day I try to start it and it started on the first try, use it all day and it worked fine. But the next day will not start, but if I put gasoline direct the air flow starts at the time then turns off. The relay seems to be well. the computer has power but no pulse at the injectors, and check the electrical connections and all is well. It is about the temperature senso…

Hello! I picked up a 78 280z a month or so ago and I've been working my tail off to get her going. She's now starting up just fine and now I'm working on making her idle steady and accelerate appropriately. So in doing so, I need to know where this line should go. Please see attached. It's circled in red. It's on the driver side of the engine close to the master vac. Any help would be appreciated. Additionally, I circled something in yellow. Any help identifying this part? I don't think it's the EGR valve but I'm not certain. TIA

My 77 Z gets terrible gas mileage, somewhere in the neighborhood of 12mpg. A mechanic I know who had a CO measuring machine said my CO% were way too high and that I was running really rich. He measured my ignition timing at 9 BTDC. He also checked my vacuum and said it was okay, however I didn't check what his pump read and he isn't a Z guy so I don't know for sure if what he read is where it should be at. I do have all new vacuum hoses under the hood though. Also replaced my auxiliary air regulator not too long ago. So I was reading up on the AFM adjusting on atlanticz.ca and what exactly is the idle flow adjusting screw on the bottom right corner of the AFM for? It sta…

My wipers stopped working in the middle of my windshield while I was driving in the rain. I got home and unscrewed the little caps and took the entire arm off on both sides. When I turn the switch on, the bolts that the arms mount onto still won't move at all. However, the wiper motor is making a quiet clicking noise every few seconds in equal increments as if it's trying to move the wipers like usual. Any ideas ? Thanks
