Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone sells this clip in a rebuild kit, or is it even necessary? With a rubber seal and metal washer behind it, it holds the push rod of the brake booster in place. I removed my M/C this week to check if my reaction disk was still in place, because I have been having braking problems. Upon removal of the pushrod, I noticed the retainer clip was missing, and I've been trying to source one on the the internet with no luck. If anyone has an extra, please let me know =) Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Spitz17

On my 1970 Z I had an aftermarket fixed-position antenna, the short (12" or so) flexible kind. Well it broke so I was going to put in a power antenna I bought a couple years back...it is supposed to be a used stock S30 power antenna. Wouldn't you know that when I removed the interior quarter panel there was a power antenna just laying in there, still wired up even!! The only reason I didn't just reinstall it was that the nut and trim/grommet piece for the outside of the body seem to be missing. Well having this in there gave me the opportunty to compare it to the one I had boght years previous. They are not identicle though similar and would like to know which if eit…

I have searched and found a few threads that helped me test my problem but I have not been able to resolve it and am looking for help now. I am trying to get my car started for the first time in 18 months. I installed the dash and connected "most" of the wiring. There are a few things that I did not connect because they appear to have been molested by the PO or do not have a matching connector, (i.e., radio wiring, fog lamp, A/C, etc.). I do get door lights, dash lights, head lights, ammeter, etc so I think I have most of the important wiring hooked up. I am not getting spark out of the coil. Things I have done: Tested power to + side of coil - yes Tested power to - s…

I have a '77 280z, previously the car sat around for about two years without being moved or started. I got it running again about three months ago with a couple fixes and got the brake fluid flushed in the process. About two weeks ago the brakes ceases up on me when I was driving around. It happened pretty slowly, it wasn't an abrupt stop. A couple days ago I replaced the calipers and pads in hopes that would fix it. Now I'm getting almost no pressure at all. There are no leaks in the lines that I can tell. Did I mess something up or am I missing something?

My dashlights went out on a night drive, and soon after I was pulled over for my tail lights being out. I think it happened at the same time. not positive though. I changed out the rear lamp fuse. Didn't do it. I then changed out all fuses to be for sure. Didn't do it. Now I am searching around under the steering column and the fire wall. Before I go any further, does anyone have any ideas for me?

So after finally making my 76 280z a daily driver I've discovered its getting horrible mpg. After my last fill up I only got 7.5 miles to the gallon. So I figure it's time to start trouble shooting this problem. My car is pretty stock with a 5 speed. Most of my driving is city. After reading the EFI bible I'm still in need of some guidance. Some ideas i have are Leaky cold start injectors? I'm not really sure if this would led to 7.5 mpg though but I'm pretty new to EFI. Bad AFM? Mine has corrosion on the circuit board on the AFM. Sticking Air regulator? Bad coil? Mine is the stock 34 year old one, this going bad could also explain my occasional lack of low rpm power too.…

My electric fuel pump decided it didn't want to play anymore. In checking the existing wiring, it appears the trigger wire is not sending power to the relay. Rather than take the harness apart, I've decided to bypass the existing wiring and run the fuel pump on all new wire. I still want to have a n/o relay in the circuit but I'm not sure of the correct wiring or my options. Here is my thinking: 1 - Power lead direct from the battery with in-line 20 amp fuse 2 - Ground wire 3 - Positive lead from the fuel pump (the negative from the pump is grounded on frame) 4 - a trigger wire that operates with the ignition. The three questions I have are a) is the above layo…
