Hey guys Lookin for the attached part. This piece is inside the door on the backside of the handle. When you open the door this piece pushes down and press a lever its connected to to release the lock. Not sure the exact name but I have been through a couple they break pretty easy. I don't want to buy the complete assembly as its a little pricey. Zed use to have him but he parted them all out, now im lookin for another source. At least one if not 2. hey Gang- Like the teaser asks, has anyone done any experimentation with weight of shock oil? What is the stock weight for the front struts? My FSM leaves alot to be desired when it comes to this department... Thanx, Wolf Austin, Tx.

75 280. Engine seemed like it was running a little weak. Did the cyl by cyl pull the plug and injector test to isolate. #2 cylinder seemed to be the issue. Did compression test, that was about 90 PSI in #2 while rest were in 150 +/- range. Car does use some oil (blue smoke) when under hard revving, but not under normal driving. Does not leak. Temp runs fine. Oil press is fine. I was under impression if you had bad rings or valves the compresssion would be zero, not just down about a third. Anyways, would seem to explain why the engine seemed to have a little less power that before. Has 110K on it, very regular maint, oil changes, etc. I have owned several of these cars an…

my car was running good been running good for awhile and now it wont. weve changed the coil, the points and condenser, the spark plugs and the spark plug wires, the car is getting spark, fuel, air, and compression, dont know what else to check. any ideas?

Ok so when I bought my 240Z the car would not start. So i replaced the spark plugs and wires and removed the SU carbs cleaned them real nice and put them back on the car. The car started nicely and i drove it around the block once or twice. The car was running really really RICH. The following day the car started up again no problem but then the 3rd day and now the engine cranks good and it smells like it is getting plenty of fuel but it wont start. I replaced the ignition coil and took out one of the spark plugs and placed it on bare metal and got a healthy blue spark. I cranked the car for a while and the engine started for a second or two and then died again. I lifted…

I have a 78Z I picked it up last fall and I have been doing some work on it the car has about 78,000 miles on it and it had been sitting for about 20 years, I had the fuel tank cleaned and sealed, new fuel pump and pressure regulator. When I charged the fuel system I noticed that one of the short rubber lines at one of the injectors was leaking, I also noticed that the line appears to have been installed with some kind of compressed fitting when I removed that injctor I looked inside and it appears that the rubber inside the hose had started to break down and appears to have clogged the injector, I am assuming that all the rest of the injectors will have the same problem …

hey guys i need help again. my brake fuse keeps melting my fuse block the brake light work and all but the fuse overheats. Also my rear turn signals dont work the front ones do and the light comes on on the dash but no rear light. checked all the bulbs there good. so are these problems related and does any one know how to fix them?

This site is great, thanks to all that have helped in the past. My drivers side door won't open from the outside, but it will open from the inside, so hard to see in there, is there an easy way to solve this problem.

First the back story: Bought the 1972 240Z one year ago this weekend. Blew a head gasket getting it home. Replaced the head gasket and drove the car a bit and discovered brake issues, fixed those and discovered that the frame rails at the T/C mount were rusted completely away, fixed those and frame rails and floor pans. Thought I was set to drive. Drove a bit, (3 miles) no problems, drove a little more (about 7 miles) and it started getting hot. Guage was more than three quarters pegged. I need help quick, I have my car up for sale, and the positive terminal on my 260z battery touched the body while i was driving, and it shut off. And now its not getting a charge from the alternator, and the oil pressure, gas, and temp guages do not work nether does my headlights or my flashers. but my hazard still works. And there is a fuse that keeps blowing every time i go to start it. So I'm guessing that fuse controls all of that. The battery is good and the alternator is good i just need ideas of what wires would have melted so i know were to look. thanks
