   hey guys i need help again. my brake fuse keeps melting my fuse block the brake light work and all but the fuse overheats. Also my rear turn signals dont work the front ones do and the light comes on on the dash but no rear light. checked all the bulbs there good. so are these problems related and does any one know how to fix them?

   This site is great, thanks to all that have helped in the past. My drivers side door won't open from the outside, but it will open from the inside, so hard to see in there, is there an easy way to solve this problem.

   First the back story: Bought the 1972 240Z one year ago this weekend. Blew a head gasket getting it home. Replaced the head gasket and drove the car a bit and discovered brake issues, fixed those and discovered that the frame rails at the T/C mount were rusted completely away, fixed those and frame rails and floor pans. Thought I was set to drive. Drove a bit, (3 miles) no problems, drove a little more (about 7 miles) and it started getting hot. Guage was more than three quarters pegged. Searched here and figured I needed to do some work as there are overheating issues with some of the cars. Starting simply and working my way up, I started with a new radiator cap …

   My alternator fuse keeps blowing 260z

   I need help quick, I have my car up for sale, and the positive terminal on my 260z battery touched the body while i was driving, and it shut off. And now its not getting a charge from the alternator, and the oil pressure, gas, and temp guages do not work nether does my headlights or my flashers. but my hazard still works. And there is a fuse that keeps blowing every time i go to start it. So I'm guessing that fuse controls all of that. The battery is good and the alternator is good i just need ideas of what wires would have melted so i know were to look. thanks

   Hey guys So i went out and started removing my make shift metal floor pans to get to the actuals underneath today. After I was done I went into the house and cried for about 45 min. Once I wiped the tears away I went back out and began trying to figure out how i am going to put in new floor pans. I have researched forums on how to do this. However if i take out all the rust from the floor, and rust going up the side, i will have gaps between the floor pan and the existing good metal. What can I do about these gaps and how do i begin attaching a floor that is too small for the hole? I figure I can use some kind of metal to cover over these gaps but how thick, what…

    Starter

    I have just replaced the starter in my '76 280z after the solenoid went out(solenoid was going out for about the last year). Replaced the whole starter as well as the battery. Went to turn the key and nothing, just a click from under the passanger side kick panel( i'm assuming thats the starter relay). Decided to replace the + and - battery cables as well. Still just get the click! Running out of ideas! Someone help with my next step! I have located the general area of the starter relay by feeling where the click comes from when someone turns the key. What do I do now?

    Rear View Mirror Hardware

    The car that im working on at the moment i got completely disassembled by the P.O. as he could not finish the project. i have found a couple parts to the interior rear view mirror but i have no idea what is supposed to be there as i have never see a whole one before. At the moment i have the mirror with arm and a little metal c shaped thing attached with 2 screws, and plastic piece with 3 holes in it that line up with the holes in my roof liner. Can't find anything about it in my repair manual or on the net so far. How many parts am i missing and how do i attach this thing to the car?

    Swaping drivetrain from '71 Series 1 to '73

    I'm planning to swap in the entire drivetrain/suspension from a '71 series 1 to a '73 body. I understand there are differences, but I should be OK doing this as long as I use all 71 drivetrain parts. The body mounting, etc should be the same, correct? Or might I run into problems? Also, will the dash fit as well, I noticed the mounting by the trans tunnel was a little different.

    Need Ideas for Shipping a Hood

    Hello everyone, I need some help. I found a hood for my 280z from a private party and need to figure out how to ship it to myself. I have a FedEx account and can schedule a pickup, but I am not sure if I need to have the hood wrapped & crated or not. I'm trying to figure this out so that I can make it as simple as possible for the seller. The location of the hood is in Fontana, Ca and I need to ship it to Reno. I'm sure I could probably find a hood closer, but this is the one I want. How would you have a hood shipped to you? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Chelle
