I'm re-upholstering the interior of my 260z 2+2. I am missing what ever molding is screwed onto the back side of the back seat. This is the side you would see if viewing the seat in the upright position from the back of the car. If anyone with a '74 260Z 2+2 would send me a picture showing this molding it would help me. Can anyone identify this trans? It says" TA71B #3 " "7Y07349" and it has 2 ears at shifter. If this is for 81-82 ZX, why does it have oil temp sensor at the back as well as inspection hole at the bottom of bell housing like BW T5? Very confused here......... Esprist

hey folks i need a little help, and I have done research here and have only found some partial remidies,.......I replaced the fuel pump on my 260Z (Its new to me) and itsmechanical) and have purchased the electrical fuel pump to r/r the oem as well, now, i have 2 things going on, 1.i have NO power to the electric is there a fuel pump relay and if so where the heck is it??? ......... any way the fuel pump mounted on the fuel cell and i do not have the book to find if i have a relay or not. 2. when i pulled the fuel line to the mechanical from the gas tank i cant get ANY FUEL COME out of the fuel tank. its like its COMPLETELY CLOGGED and its got a bout 6-7 gals i…

i have a 1976 datsun 280z and it runs ok until it heats up and then starts sputtering and running like $hit! when i stop at a red light, the rpms hover from 500-1000 and eventually the thing shuts off. When i start it again after that i have to give it a ton of gas and then alot of smoke comes out the back. i have replaced the cold start injector and temp sensor and i attempted to replace the mass airflow sensor today but it ran even worse. any ideas? and does the mass airflow sensor need adjusting right out of the box?

Hey guys....I'm trying to find the valve cover-to-air cleaner hose (part #11826-E4600) for my 73. I'm running ZTherapy SU's with a 1972 air cleaner, not the original tuna can flat tops that she came with. I've tried every source I know of, and everyone is NLA. I'd love to find a used one in good condition. If someone has a new one hanging around, that would be even better. I'll pay cash, or maybe I have something you need (original AM/FM stereo, Hitachi flat tops, smog pump, 3.36 differential, 4 speed tranny, 1973 hubcaps, etc.) for a trade. Let me know. Monday at 2 PM, Life begins again...the Red Sox season opener!

Can anyone tell me if the an 82 28L is the same block as the 78 28L ? I need an engine for mine ( 78 Z ) and found a 82 . Will this work, trans. & manifolds interchangable ?

I was trying to locate the source of an annoying imbalance in my carbs and found the problem. For reasons I do not understand, one of my nozzles was " customized " by shortening it 1/4". Does anyone have or know where I can purchase one factory spec nozzle, new or good used, for a REASONABLE price ? The carbs are in excellent shape otherwise, and appear to be original to the car. They have three screws holding down the vacuum chamber, and the float bowls have a drain plug. The entire engine is completely stock. The car itself has a late 1972 build date. I know this really should be really simple... I have ordered the twin K&N air cleaners with air horns from msa and id like to clean up the intake manifold and such before they get here. When i go to remove the cover for the stock air filter, the two wingnut screws come loose, but then the cover just bumps into the left strut tower before it clears the air horn type things coming from the base plate of the air box, and those get in the way of me just lifting the cover and filter off. :stupid: Is there something i have missed or special technique to getting this thing off? Im sure the answer is right in front of me, but im just too blind to see it. Thanks in advance.

So a year or so ago, I was driving along, and I stomped the pedal only to watch my car go straight to idle. The little plastic piece that attaches the pedal lever to the throttle rod ended up breaking (28 year old plastic tends to be somewhat brittle) In short, does anyone know where I can find a new gas pedal? I'm currently using a shoe string tied from the throttle rod to the pedal lever. Not the most robust

Well the read window defogger is not working but I know the window is getting fire. So I got some of the replacement Defogger Repair Kits to "paint" in the spots. However I found that the spots are too great to repair this way. Does anyone know if there is a replacement "grid" anywhere or does anyone know where to get a replacement window with a working or near working grid? Thanks Tommy
