Sorry for all the "help me" posts, but I am finally getting some needed work done on my '72. There was an aftermarket air conditioning unit installed (poorly btw) on the center console where the "embellishment panel" (as termed by the Haynes manual" resided. This "embellishment panel" is between the shfter and the ash tray, and it must be removable because it's not on my car. Anyone have one or know where I could obtain this piece? Thanks in advance. Rich

I have a chance to acquire some original teardrop hubcaps for my '72 240Z. They are mildly worn, but in good shape. One thing I've noticed is that the ads I look at show the hubs in different hues - dark gray and a lighter, almost silver color. Were multiple colors offered for the Z? If so, was there a color scheme followed (e.g., red cars got the dark gray)? Thanks - trying to get the car to be "correct" - appreciate the help! Rich

I've searched over multiple sites, but the answer still seems to be eluding me. I'm in the middle of a EFI to carb swap on a 76 280z. I've removed the wiring harness and all that jazz, but now I need to power the fuel pump. I found a schematic on here that runs through the oil pressure switch, but it still isn't very clear. I've located the connector to which the power for the fuel pump originally ran (under the driver's side dash) and removed the wires inside. Two of the wires run to the fuel pump and I assume the other two provide power. I want to use (hopefully) the original wiring with as little alteration as possible. I believe I can install a relay with the…

Here's my question. I have a California car, '72 Z, and I'm swapping the stock exhaust for an MSA header and exhaust system. Besides the smog pump, what other parts off of the intake can I get rid of (i.e. anti back-fire valve, and other recirculation devices)?

Help! I got the exhaust manifold off and was trying to get the two end bolts out, they were sheared off, which seems to be a common problem with them. I broke off an easy out in one of them and the other the drill hole got off center. I seem to be making a mess of things. Any advice as to what I can do now. The more I drill the more it wallows out all around the remaining bolts and tears up the aluminum and I can't keep the drill bit from walking. Can I get by with replacing the gasket and not worrying about these outside bolts? If not, any suggestions on what to do about fixing these outside bolts?

Hello all, I have a 1970 with a replaced engine. Pretty common L24/E88 combo. I have Z Therapy round tops in that have been working perfectly as far as I can tell. They are reasonably new, and have low miles on them. I have done nothing with them save minor adjustments to the fuel mix per the instructions they come with. Overall the car runs well. She starts easy, revs quickly, holds a steady idle at around 900 with out support from the idle screws. She runs and drives happily at all RPMs and throttle positions until about 4-4.5k rpms then quite savagely hits bad misfire. I have done a lot of searching on this forum and found a lot of helpful stuff. Here is a quick list …

I bought a urethane bushing set for my 78 280z. I had the old bushings pressed out at a shop. while installing, I found the mustache bar (differential carrier) bushings way large, maybe 1/4" play up and down, inside also. I spoke to the manufacturer, Prothane, only to be told the part # was correct. The other bushings appear to fit at this time. the box is labeled for my car.The fsm calls these bushings insulators. Is there a sleeve or something that may have been removed with the old bushing??
