iv been trying to hunt down a 77-78 280z parts car. not very much luck. i know you houston guys probably got parts or parts cars laying around. or maybe even know someone that has one. i found someone selling some 240's on craigslist i emailed within minutes of the post and he hasn't responded wtf is with that? so far my offer range has been 200-500 depending on condition and how complete the car is. but i only got 2 emails since i put my WTB ad. and left two offers on some BADLY rusted z's i saw parked in peoples backyards(visible because of IKE) one guy thinks his non-running windowless rust bucket that been sitting in the rain for over 3yrs is worth 2500bux... i mean …

Hey everyone! I've been working away on the car, and while i had it on a hoist i noticed that it was difficult to spin the front passenger side tire when it was off the ground...it would spin slightly but it would stop immediately after i took off pressure. I'm thinking a frozen caliper, any other ideas? Just wondering if this is a common problem, and if there's anything I can do at home to fix this before buying new parts :surprised

hello thanks for reading, I'll try to make this short and to the point. Facts: 1976 280z Sat since 1997...?? ( going off plates) Pulled tank, cleaned Blew out lines from tank to filter, filter to injectors Replaced fuel pump relay(fuel pump wasn't working) Traced and visually inspected entire wiring harness(pulled dash) Outcome: Car will not start unless I pour gas into air flow hole in top of throttle body. Car then backfires out hole when fuel dimminished. Spark plugs are saturated with fuel, yet car won't run without bottle feed.. When car runs it sounds like a brand new car, runs perfectly and strong, doesn't miss Help?? Thank you Adam

Does any one have the number of the brake line tee in the back of the S30's? I can read most of the number off the fiche CD but not all if it. Starts with 46100-but the rest of the numbers are not all that clear. I know it is still available because reddat on eBay has them. I need a couple of them and his prices when shipped end up near $100.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- guys looking a a 78 for this girl, unknownn how long since it has run, said it started with fuel leaks and just let it sit for a long time. Anyway this has got me a bit puzzled, when you turn the key on and crank engine wont start, very weak spark but when you let off the cranking the ign continues to fire non stop until you turn key all the way to the off position, you can even here it inside the cap buzzing!!! If you pull the cap and watch it has a strong continuos spark between coil wire tip (center electrode and one of the plug electrodes, any clues here??

My 76 280Z, auto trans needs all new u joints (all 6, 2 ds 4 rear axle) The DS has non servicable u joints. I've heard a shop could replace them; BUT would an earlier 240 driveshaft fit? I am thinking of getting a used 240 shaft with servicable joints and putting new joints on it. Are these the same length, and the same u joints (for rear and trans?) Thanks New driveshafts are expensive and having a shop do the swap of the non servicable ones is expensive too; I guess the zbarn.com has some; looks like the 72-74 would be the one to go with, if it is interchangeable?

Is this what I would need to do a vaccum pressure test on my 1975 280Z? This is at sears? Here is what it says: "Fine tunes carburetion and timing peak for maximum fuel economy. Easy-to-read, 3-1/2 diameter face displays 0-30 inches vacuum and 0-10 pounds of pressure. Complete with hose and adapters. Fuel pump pressure. Mechanical condition of the engine. Vacuum control system function. For leaks in the intake manifold, manifold and head gaskets, piston rings, valves and vacuum lines." Is this the right tool? Please advise..Thanks

Hello, I'm new and just got a 1977 Skyline with a L28 N42 head. It seems that they put a L20 oil pan so that it could fit nice and snug on top of the steering rack. Well the problem, is that the dipstick is for the L28, but because the oil pan was changed the dipstick does not go all the way in. When I went to get an oil change, I did not know how much oil I had in the car, so ended up putting a little over 6qrts of oil. Does anyone know how many quarts an L28 takes wit an L20/24 oil pan?
