I have a 1975 280z with stock fuel injected engine. It starts up fine but idles rough and when it give it gas it is rough as well. I put a screwdriver to each injector and the #4 injector is not clicking. I also pulled the plug wires one by one with the engine on and on #4, there was no change. I cannot figure out where the problem would be? Is it a. bad injector, ? b. stuck valve, ? c.bad spark plug, ? c.bad ignition? What can I do to pinpoint the problem? Please help.. I don't know where to start...

I was wondering what color would you call my car? The color is not recorded on the title and someone told me it was ice blue. I'm just calling it silver.

The back end of my tail housing (280-z 5 speed), where the driveshaft seal goes, is cracked and leaks gear oil. Is it possible to R&R the tailhousing with the trans in the car? I just put everything back in there after doing a engine-trans swap... I didn't notice the crack until it was all bolted up!! I really don't want to have to take things apart again! Thanks

Hello. I drive a 71 daily driver and it is very reliable until yesterday. Driveing down the fwy at about 3400 rpm the engine stopped for a split second. The remainder of the drive was uneventful. This morning howebver it happened again 4 or 5 times during a 20 mile drive to the office. Coming home it became more frequent and it actually stalled while driving down my street in 1st gear. Following this stall was a loud backfire. When it happens it is like someone kills the ignition -- just for a second. It is freshly tuned and I have a new ignition switch. I run a mallory dual point with an MSD coil. All of the connections look good. Please help with this puzzler.

I am having a little problem with the trust issue while I am selling my car. I am getting asked personal questions right off the bat!!! Any guidelines to offer me??? So far he has my email address and name but I have not given anything else except what is required in the ad. I asked for his info and all I get are more question of me. Worrying about personal identity might be getting in the way of a sale here but I want to be safe. I mean he doesn't need my full name and full address, home and cell number when he hasn't even asked much about "the item" (as he put it) does he???? Thanks Something is fishy here.

Ok. I have a '73 240Z. I installed urethane bushings in my mustache bar after burning and tapping out (Thanks Beandip for helping!). I quickly realized after driving that I hear all my transmission gears Very clearly now, which is not what I wanted. I got the new OEM bushings and two of the Large OEM rubber-covered washers. So tonight, I pulled the mustache bar out, and took out the urethane bushings to reinstall the new OEM bushings. But do I have to cut out the sleeve inside each end of the mustache bar to install the OEM bushings? And if so, what is the best way to cut out the old sleeves? I have some pics of this if would help. Any help would be much appreciat…

Hey I'm trying adjust the clutch on my 71 240 and was wondering what exactly does free play mean. Is it the distance the pedal will travel before it contacts the clutch cylinder rod or is it the distance it travels before the resistance significantly increases? I'm leaning toward the latter based on the 10-15 mm spec but i thought i see what you guys thought. i was going to adjust it because it got hard to get in gear. It never seemed to love going in reverse but the last time i got the car out it resisted going into first. I figured the adjustment on the pedal probably got loose so that it wasn't disengaging fully when depressing the pedal.
