OK so I bought everything for the manual swap (or so I thought) I ordered the steel braided clutch hose from MSA and I thought that was all I needed. But I was wrong. Is there a metal line going from the clutch MC to the Slave? Or how dose this work? Is their a diagram someplace somebody could post for me? Dose anyone here have what I need to finish this?? Im going crazy here people! :paranoid: I am doing this myself and have know idea what I am doing. It has all gone great up to this point. Thanks in advance Bill

I have a 74 260z and it runs great until I stop for gas or a quick bite to eat. If I start it while hot it will run very weak and I have to choke it to get some power this problem continues for miles. If I let it cool down for 15 minutes it runs great again. I thought it was vapor in the lines but I insulated the best I could with raybestos tubing and header wrap where I could. Both fuel pumps are new and good, new fuel lines, filters, good gas, and carbs are adjusted correctly. It's annoying more than anything since it is good after I wait 15 minutes. I need some Ideas on what to try, please. Thanks, Mark ( new old Z owner):cross-eye

Bought this 82 280zx after a long absence from Z cars. L&S, car has been sitting for a year or two, ran fine for 5 minutes then began sputtering, lost power & etc. I knew it was a fuel issue because I could enrich the intake and it would smooth right out. Did all the standard things; dropped & cleaned fuel tank, cleaned pickup, blew out all lines, cleaned pump, changed filter, changed fuel pressure regulator, checked & cleaned MAF, fresh gas, but no change. Would crank and barely idle. Pump sounds & runs ok (seems to) & seems to build plenty of pressure, judging from lines being pulled loose & gas flying. The only thing that helps is to restri…

Sorry to bother you all again, but the more I work on this car, the more I find. 1972 Z with Weber DVGs on it, the rest of the car is stock, and getting nicer every day. I replaced a blown head gasket and re assembled everything. The car is running, but sometimes seriously looses power, bogging down, and then picks up after putting in neutral and getting the rpms up to 3500 or so. Figure that is in the fuel or ignition system. New points, condensor and coil added, plug wires and coil wire are within resistance readings. Plugs good, clean and gapped to factory specs. Cap and rotar good. I did notice that the lever that activates the fuel pump is not in contact with…

So... here I am again with another strange issue I can't pin down. The other week I was changing sparkplugs again (I usually just go with cheap Autolites, sort of NGK knockoffs, as a bit of oil dripping from the valve stems tends to clog them up fairly quickly) ... The auto parts store was out of my usual Autolite fix, so the clerk sold me some Champion platinums for the same prices (and I was dubious, since I hate Champions with a passion) ... I put them in and the car ran a bit more rough at idle, but at a consistent speed, so I figured as was well in the car kingdom. I took the car for a spin and I could really feel the different platinums make, I thought I was sold! .…

...this thing is in my way. Yes it's a metal bar and it covers up the fill plug, how do I get to it? As you can see, my diff is need of a little TLC, so this is something I want to get figured out ASAP. Thanks!

I have a 72 240z with round top SUs and no air pump. It drives ok, but has a 1-2 second lag when starting from a stand still. It is there, but not as noticable when shifting into later gears. I thought it might be a problem with the vacuum lines, but I can't find a diagram or picture that shows my setup. Are there any other likely possibilities? Either way, a diagram, book or picture would be very helpful to get the lines set up properly.
