There is a Classic Fiberglass Spoiler for sale for $60.00-primer and paint ready, no damages... I was planning on putting the BRE spoiler on my s30 but on a budget right now, but I came across this one... it looks decent and I've seen very nice s30's with it on, but not very popular like the BRE... :bandit: Any advice? BTW, MSA Retails it for $170.00.... I need to let the Seller know by tonight... Thanks in advance!

My 71 is experiencing strange things with the clutch/tranny. Everything was OK a few years back when I replaced the tranny due to popping out of second on deceleration. All was well till a few months ago when it started grinding going into reverse. Thought it was the slave cylinder, which did have a leak, so I replaced that. Problem went away for a short time, so I kept adjusting the slave rod to cure it. Figured that I didn't have enough travel on the fork. Still no joy, so I got a new master cylinder. Again, OK for a short time. It gets worse the longer the car sits idle. Could the fingers on my pressure plate be going bad? Just yesterday, I couldn't even get it into f…

I have a 240Z build date 12/70 and I have what I think is the series 1 z-car rear end vibration. To date I have replaced all bushings, struts, and u-joints (including half shaft u-joints). I have heard that later 240Z's had there rear differentials moved back 2 inches and the driveshaft lengthened or shortened (can't remember) to curb this problem. Is there a kit or mod that can be done to stop this horrible vibration. Between 65 and 70mph I get a solid rumble in the rear. Thanks, Colin

I put a new cold air intake on my 280 and now it seems like the idle is set to low or something. So here is my question... Do I have to adjust the idle to the larger amount of air now entering the motor or is there another problem im going to have to deal with??? Let me know what you think...

I have become the owner of a '71 240 Z, that is in bad shape. I have cleared the engine compartment, and have found a wire bundle that has been on fire. Does anyone out there know where I can get a full wiring harness or a diagram of the harness? Thanks.

Well I believe this is my first real post on here so If I botch it up to bad take it easy on me. When I bought the car (77 280z) it had a blown head gasket but still had compression. I took the head off to find that it was pretty warped and deffinatly could use a valve job. I sent it off to the machine shop where they put all new valves in and shaved the head. So now I have the head back and decided to put a new timing chain in while im in their. I put the new head on, set the number one cyl to tdc on the compression stroke. Then sat the head on it torqued it down to spec installed the cam sproket on the number 1 dowl hole. Then put the lighter colored chain link on the …

Hello, I have a 1975 Datsun 280Z with a stock L28 engine (N42). I just bought a 5 speed transmission from a 280ZX. I am not sure which year. Can I still use the starter that is attached to my 4speed trans on the 5speed trans? Or is there a different starter that works only on the 5 speed trans.? What other details should I worry about when I swap from the 4 speed trans. to the 5 speed? Thanks.

The bushings that came with my kit just do not fit...yes I removed the sleeves. I know a lot of people leave these out when they put bushings in because they are a PITA to do. Does anybody have some laying around?

Well, here I am ready to fire her up for the first time in 1 1/2 years. Finally got the engine together. Filled the radiator and while under the car checking out things I noticed a little drop of water. I looked and found there is water seeping between the head and block just above where the engine number is stamped in the block. There was also some weeping just forward of there too. I was very careful in the installation, but something is amiss. Any ideas? I Know I will have to pull the head back off, but what should I look for? The head is a rebuilt E30. Thanks in advance for your input. (I thought I had seen this problem in the forums, but couldn't find it by…

Hi all.. I have a dilemma... I dropped the gas tank on my '72 and at this point i have the tank down to bare metal but I have found 2 problems. Problem # 1 is that the fuel supply line (coming out next to the tank transmitter unit) is clogged. Any ideas on how to unclog the line without boiling the tank? Problem # 2 is both the fuel supply line pipe and the fuel return line on the tank are loose. Is JB weld a good fix? in dogmas post that helps eliminate the expansion tank he uses JB weld for the caps he uses. will jb weld hold up or how should i fix the two pipes? Thanks for any and all info.

I'm putting my new MSA 6 into 1 header and exhaust on and am running into clearance problems. I'm surprised because I had heard that MSA's was just a bolt-on. The issue is the outlet is just a little too high. The results in the pipe that connects to the outlet hitting against the transmission rear cross member. If it was about 1/2" lower, I think all would be fine. So I've tried "rotating" the header on the head as I tried to illustrate in the picture. But in order to go any further I'd have to remove some material from the flange as it's hitting against several of the studs right now. Of course, I hate to start grinding on something brand new, especially since I'…

This front mask with "Turbo" imprint was in a collection of Datsun/Nissan parts I acquired. (There is no part number or item number on it.) Can anyone identify what model it fits? Thanks in advance for your help. Keith
