Ok I just put in the new heater core for my 280 but none of the auto part store had this part that i need cus its in bad shape. Its the part that the hoses connect to going into the fire wall. Where can i get one???

So my driver's side door spring just popped out of place and bent the hell out of the hinge assembly that it's attached to. Does anyone have a spare lower drivers door hinge? Ok I was going to use the same heater valve but then i broke the little copper hose on the valve. what is the copper hose for and do i really need it??? This heater job is about to drive me crazy!!!:mad:

Hi I am at a loss and a friend found this site for me. I have had 4 mechanics look at my car (79 280ZX) this last month and $800.00 later my car is in the same shape as I started. So, I thought maybe someone on here could assist me or they had the same issue? The issue= I will be going along and the out of the blue her RPM and OIL gauge(needles) will drop and she wil die, BUT if I am going at the right RPM I can pop the clutch and keep going. I never know when this is going to happen and so she sits and I hate it because I miss driving her. Can anyone help me? Thank you

ok heres what ive got 1983 280zxt junk turbo but the engine is in great shape been siting for many years i would say since the late 90's ok went through the entire fual system to get the car running thats how i found that the turbo was seized ok the floors are all but gone the suports are all but gone as well but the acualy body is in fair shape tell me what you guys think and or where i can get a set of floors reasonably cheap or free i dont make alot of money so is this car worth fixing or am i spoinning my wheels with this one

Ok I have the heat going in my 76 280z and there is hot air coming out of the defrost for the winshield but only there. the air coming out of the center of the dash is cold. i have also noticed that when I punch the gas up to about 6 grand the windows fog up and I can smell antifreeze like really really bad! I have had the car for a week and im just know starting to fix the little problems and this is one that NEEDS to be fixed so I can drive it. Sooo what do i need to do???

Ok So I swapped a 1979 280zx 5 spd in the 71 240z. How do I get the speedometer to be accurate since the gear ratios are different now?

Hello, I broke the thin long bolt reinstalling a new water pump. I have searched the forum and I've found out it would be best to remove the front cover to get the bolt out. I don't really want to take the cover off. Has anyone just tapped in a short bolt into the cover. I believe the two short bolts just go into the cover and the long bolts go into the block. I would also like to know if anyone has been sucessful using an easy out to get the bolt out with out taking the cover off. It's in about 2 1/2 inches so I'm sure it not too easy. oh yeah the car is a 72 240z

I've been driving my 260 more or less everyday for the last 2 months with no problems and today, first hot day of the season, it started running strangely: Drives fine until warm, then temp starts to creep up and holds a bit below 3/4 of the gauge (I replaced thermo, temp sending unit and water pump recently). Then it starts hesitating, sort of, pulls fine, then lets back a bit for a sec, pulls fine again, let back and so on. If I turn it off and she cools down, runs fine til warm again. Lastly, all of this got me looking at my gauges and I noticed my oil pressure is fairly low in low gears, say 15-25 and 5 at idle and at highway speeds pressure builds up to midway but it…

I have a 1978 FI 280z, the car starts fine but if I give it a quick rev and let go of the gas it stumbles and dies. If I rev it but don't let off the gas pedal entirely (like enough gas to keep it slightly above idle) it will keep running. Right now it is idling at about 800-900 rpm. I pulled the plugs right after it was running for about 20mins and they were dry and I don't see any smoke coming from the tail pipe. The exhuast smells like fuel pretty strong but I don't know if thats a normal Z thing because I've heard of people complaining about the exhaust fumes from Z's before.

Hi I need some help from you guys. The workers at Body shop take out these rear clip finishers and they lost one of them. Suppose to be 4!! (last picture) You can see pictures of the clips before te car go to paint in it`s place, so my question is: are they original? Someone told me that they were welded to the body... ok I agree with that if we are talking about the other part that holds these clips that I am searching for... (last picture) If they are original, does anyone has some that could sell to me, because one of three I have is broken and one is lost, so I need 2. i have a 78 280z in fair shape engine runs great but the body is in need of some repairs,but i can't find any sheet metal parts like the rear hatch metal thats above the tail lights sheet metal inside the doors floor pans rocker panels. if anyone knows where i can buy these parts please let me know. i can find the fenders rockers rear wheel archs etc,but i need the parts for the rear hatch and inside the doors floor pans. i could try and make these but they would not be factory and i would need a lot of differect tools. thanks for the help eric ps keep on z'nn
