I am new at this. I have a1988 300zx turbo My problem is coolant went all over my motor and know all my dash red lights are on all the time, Battery door coolant brake and brake stop light. What can I do . Thanks for the help:disappoin:

When I was taking out one of my spindle pins, the punch was a little too small and went in between the threads and the bushing. The threads got ruined. Does anybody have any pins on a parts car I could buy?

Hi Guys, I have a 78 280z 2+2 and recently I started to hear a strange noise coming from the engine compartment (high pitch screech ). It sound like a bad power steering unit, not that the my Z has one but, it comes and goes. This usually happens when in neutral and I rev the engine and as rpms go up it stops. It also, happens when I start driving from a standing position and I'm accelerating but once the clutch is fully engaged it stops. I've tried to isolate the noise but can't seem to find out where exactly it's coming from. If anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate the help. Regards, Rick

I have a 77 280Z and the kid I bought it from had done all sorts of modifications and such that I have been correcting and fixing, but I was flagged down the other night by someone who said my lights were out and sure enough no tail lights. This caught me off guard as every time I hit the remote lock, the tail lights pop on for a minute. After going through and pulling bulbs, testing brake and reverse lights, I decided that its something preventing the bottom tail lights from coming on and after rooting around under the back spare cover, discovered a female connector with 3 slots and 2 odd black wires with what I can only guess are ground connectors on the end, which is s…

On my 71 240z the oil pressure gauge just quit working....(or I hope it has). Whether the car is running or not the reading stays at the full right side, never goes down or moves. I'm guessing it's a connection somewhere but didn't know where to look....any ideas, the haynes manual is no help. Thanks for any help.

purchased a 72 240z last owner apperantly had alot of work done to engine and then it sat for years. car starts and runs but not very well. checked compression and is very good on all cylinders, valve clearance is correct. pull of plug wires on 2,3,5,and makes no differance . changed wires and distibutor cap ect. timing is correct also. has triple mikunis stock fuel pump . changed front carb with back carb to see if would make diff. but didn't. any ideas what to do next. fuel pressure problem mabye? but cylinder 6 is strong ? help

So i think i need to replace my water pump. Having trouble when i run my car car for a while it starts to shut down ... like its getting no fuel... I am still messing with the carbs to get them right but when i think they are right and i drive it, it does that.. just starts cutting out after its hot... I ran it about...20 mins then it started to do that.. help me... .could it be the water pump or a whole nother problem... Also I want some good ideas on how to best upgrade my 72 240Z its all stock minus the smog. so any thoughts on that would be great thanks for the help guys..

i have already replaced the battery once and then replaced the alternator. the car can be jumped and will run fine that way but it will not start on its own. i have no idea what it could be i haven't had the z for long.

72, link from harness to starter burnt up, no link to replce, tried jumper wire for diagnosis, it gets HOT fast! Where to look? Son stranded, me old and tired and had a couple Heinekins so no driving tonight.

Going to Interstate to pick up a new battery today. Am I a victim of all the drugs I did in college or are the poles reversed on the battery to keep the positive pole away from the metal fender? Did I dream it or does the Z take a reversed pole battery? Thanks, Eric

I'm rebuilding my brake master cylinder - Tokiko off a '71. I have all the fittings removed as well as the set screws. My manual doesn't say how to get the pistons out. There's no place to get a grip on it. The only exposed end is a concave cup. Anyone have any suggestions? Should I try to use air like you do for caliper pistons? Thanks, Rick
