When Factory manual references left side and right side does that assume looking from front of car looking aft or driver's seat looking forward? Anybody know?

Here's a new one I bet. I bought new lock cylinders for my '78 and while taking out the clip that holds the lock in, the clip flew out and literally just disappeared somewhere in the door. I've been rooting around in there with a flashlight for the better part of an hour to no avail. I've tried knocking all over the door to hear a rattle and nothing. I've rolled the window a bunch of times up and down to see if it was caught somewhere but this thing has flat out disappeared. Are there any places in the door that I should look that might not be evident to someone new to the inner world of the doors?

I received a set of brake hoses. Two are shorter than the other two. Do the shorter go in front or back?

I’m getting ready to restore my ‘70 240z. While going through my pile of parts, I came across a complete front and rear undercarriage of an early ‘70 I recuperate of a car that the body was way past it’s expiration date. The question is; how far gone is considered “too far gone” to get into the trouble of restoration for those suspension, steering, diff, breaks, tabs and all parts? Anyone with the experience and or wisdom on the topic that could weight in.? Tks!

In need of one plastic roller and rubber grommet for my broken regulator. Regulator is in great condition except for the broken roller and missing grommet. Hopping someone has a bad regulator that they can remove the roller & grommet from. Pictures show the story. I will Pay. Roller removal only takes about 2 minutes. Thanks!

I just installed a new dash in my 1972 240z and now the indicator light in the dash points the opposite direction of the lever. The turn signals all work. I had cleaned the contacts in the turn signal. Brake lights work. Flasher works. Also, my left headlight is now real dim. Any help is appreciated!

Happy ? to all Z owners! Spring is here and as I am about to start the restoration of my ‘70 903 240, I tried to scan the hidden and untouched areas of the paint to see if I could figure out the right mix with no avail... Tried to research online but no definitive answer as it is always “close to”. In the paint-shop computer 903 does not show up either once scanned. Anyone here had it really decoded to original specs? Thank you! P

Hey All, I own a '71 s30, this sounds very silly but is there a way to tell if it takes a R or L hand cut key without looking at the key? Reason is I got 2 keys from the previous owner and he had both sides cut with the same pattern so can't tell if its R or L cut by looking at the grooves.

Went to replace the master cylinder this afternoon. Car has not been driven for 12 years or so. The master cylinder was frozen. There are signs of fluid leaking on the front of the booster over time. Here are some pics of what I found after removing the master cylinder. The booster makes a light swooshing sound when the pedal is pressed up and down. I would assume the booster is shot. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks

guys, I have been searching the forums for research, trying to find the best answers but am feeling overwhelmed if I'm being honest. I've been working on my 240z for a while now and am at the point where I need to start setting up fuel delivery. I picked up a set of 40's and a harada intake manifold. If I understand correctly, I should also be looking for an electric fuel pump and a block off plate for the mechanical one. What's the best fuel pump I should snag? Not a high hp l28, just street driven mainly. As far as fuel line I believe I should be running them in sequence front to rear with a return line to avoid deadheadin…
