First, I'll appologize that this isn't about one of my Z-cars. Sorry 'bout that. But it is about a Nissan . I'm trying to remove the manual transaxle from a 1995 Nissan 200SX. If there are any remaining bolts holding this stupid thing on, I can't find them. But it acts like it is still solidly bolted to the engine. Any time I've dropped a Z-car tranny, once the bolts are off, it is pretty easy to just pull away from the engine. But I've never removed a FWD transaxle before. I've pry-bar'd and (lightly) hammer'd it outward, and I move the whole engine/tranny. Don' see any separation at this point. If anyone knows anything about removing a transaxle that would cause d…

I think I hosed the relay by mis-connecting the two leads. With connectors in proper place, nothing happens. Can't locate a combo relay (looks like a combo) in Houston, but Auto Zone can get separate fuel pump / efi relays in about a week. Any ideas on what else I might have screwed up or where I can get a replacement? Thanks for the help.

I'm not exactly sure what it's called what I'm missing here on the fuel injection, but if you look and compare in the two photos there is a part that mounts on the fuel injection which is not mounted on mine being the top photo. Is this related to emissions? This part has never been on it and assume the previous owners took it off for one reason of the other. We have a fuel injection book for the these engines but we seemed to have missed placed it and now I can't find it so I was wondering if you guys could help me understand what is missing on it. Thanks. If you guys would like, I can take a better picture tomarrow of it, it's getting dark here so the quality is pret…

I have a 77 280Z that doesn't have a injector pulse and low fuel pressure. the last owner put on a aftermarket pump and drove it until it wouldn't start one day . Now I know that 2psi of pressure is way to low to start but is there something that is stoping the injectors from getting a pulse due to the low pressure. any help would be great

Need a little help for anyone who has a good set of parts manuals for All Datsuns. I found an NOS part, but it was not the correct part for my 1970 Z. Can anyone tell me the purpose and car model part # 25230-89903 is for? The part I was looking for is #25230-E4100 which is the rear window heater relay. #25230-89903 does not show up in the parts CD. Thanks for any input. Dan

Thanks to Arne and others, I have determined that my car was originally an automatic. One of the previous owners swapped in a 5/71 engine with an "A" series 4-speed transmission. I got my hands on a low mileage L26 4-speed (purposely, I do not want a 5-speed). The transmission comes with the clutch fork and throw-out collar. Now, here is my question. Can I simply swap the clutch fork and throw out collar from the "A" series tranny into the L26 4-speed, since the collar matches the pressure plate. If I decide to switch to a self-adjusting slave cylinder, can I match up the throw-out collar with the L26 clutch fork? See you on the road.

ok guys, here we go....again.. i just cleaned my fuel tank, put a new pump, filter, and injectors in it...even a clear filter before the pump so i can see what crap is still flowin out the tank that i missed.. anyways, the darn thing doesnt like to start now, hot or cold. if i shut it off and go to start it again, it will start just fine. but if it sits for a few min its like pulling teeth. once its going it runs like a champ..granted there is still a lil bit of stuff comin from the fuel tank, but the filter before the pump blocks what little there is, and it didnt make a difference anyways, even with all new filters and a new pump all at the same time. its the same…

Hello. I've been looking at a 1978 280Z "Black Pearl." I confirmed this by the "638" color code on the radiator. The car has under 50,000 miles. It is all original, except it was repainted a different black several years ago. The owner has the original radio (in a box) and the original wheels and tires (yes, original tires). The only issues are a small bubble in the paint by the gas cap and two paint bubbles on the area between the front windshield and the hood. The owner says that it's just surface rust, but it is a real concern for me and one that I would have looked at by someone with more experience than I. Main questions are what is the car worth and is it a good inv…
