Hey guys, I was curious if you guys could post a picture or two of how the battery is supported with the clamp for a 280z? Right now we have the battery bungee corded down, but my dad and I can't seem to figure out the way the two parts go back on again. Here's a picture of the parts that I'm talking about.

The Coil on my Z is fine, but when I go to start it, I don't get any fire from my coil. My restrictor is also fine. I traced the wires down and I can't seem to find the problem. I am a new owner of a 1974 260 Z, and I have no "How-to" or "do it yourself" books to help me. So, any suggestions would be welcome. I NEED MY CAR FIXED! Help! I can't get to work without it!!! I miss driving it really bad. :sleepy: :disappoin

After my 73 240Z sits for more than a couple days it is hard to start. I wonder if I'm having a problem similar to that as posted by Mark Dixon where the mechanical fuel pump takes a while to prime the fuel lines. HD240Z...you indicated that you corrected your problem by adding an electric fuel pump. Could you advise me as to the type and manufacturer of your electric fuel pump. My car used to have the OEM type electric pump added by the dealer to fix the 73's fuel problems but it had long since died and I didn't add one back after doing my restoration. And now I see that the OEM pumps are way expensive.... By the Way .....I'm also running duel Weber DGV carbs. Woul…

here we go again!! 76 280z L28 efi... it keeps getting this really loud buzzing sound from the fuel pump. it started about a month ago...it was making a slight buzzing noise and then just basically flooded itself and crapped out on me on the road...i waited about 15 min and it started up again just fine, but blew out gobs of black smoke and smelled really rich. so i drove it to the auto parts store and replaced the fuel pump (cuz thats were all the noise was comin from). worked great for about 2 weeks and did the same thing again..noise starts out very slight and gets raging loud over a couple of days and then starts to flood itself again. i finally bent down and felt…

Greetings to all. I have been searching/researching the installation of an electric fuel pump on my 01/71 for a few days, on this and other sites, and I have have found where and how to install the pump and to which wire it should be connected, as well as where the power should be connected on the T connector behind the pass. side of the radio. What I have not found, and I am asking because I am a complete moron when it comes to vehicle electrical systems, is: 1) How, exactly, would one run a power line from the oil pressure sender to the T connector? Would the extra electrical load of the fuel pump inhibit the operation of the sender? Those are some small guage wires, I…

I have a 71 240z. My car was running like a champ. I parked it for about a month, and now I have no fuel going through the Pump. I know the problem is isolated to the pump area, because: I can detatch the hoes going to the pump and suck gas through the hose. I can detatch the hose going to the carbs and turn the engine over and no gas gets pumped through the pump. I even bought a new fuel pump and fuel filter and still the same problem. I detached the hose on both sides of the fuel pump, turned the engine over, and I feel no suction or output on either side of the pump. What could this be???

I've been having problems getting my front calipers bled, and I just read a post that indicates I may have the calipers upside down. In my case the bleed screws are on the bottom. Should they be on top? I think this would imply they are handed. Don't recall if I bought them handed. Any help would be appreciated. -C
