I have a 71 240z. My car was running like a champ. I parked it for about a month, and now I have no fuel going through the Pump. I know the problem is isolated to the pump area, because: I can detatch the hoes going to the pump and suck gas through the hose. I can detatch the hose going to the carbs and turn the engine over and no gas gets pumped through the pump. I even bought a new fuel pump and fuel filter and still the same problem. I detached the hose on both sides of the fuel pump, turned the engine over, and I feel no suction or output on either side of the pump. What could this be???

I've been having problems getting my front calipers bled, and I just read a post that indicates I may have the calipers upside down. In my case the bleed screws are on the bottom. Should they be on top? I think this would imply they are handed. Don't recall if I bought them handed. Any help would be appreciated. -C

I am just getting all the little details sorted out after putting a 82 280ZX engine in my 73 240Z. I changed over my distributor to electronic with a E12-80 module. I have read many times that the 240Z tach does'nt work with this setup. But mine does and appears to be correct. I'm glad it works, but am I going to make it crap out leaving it like it is?

Does any1 know where I can get a new or used brake booster for my 1971 Datsun 240z? I purchased one from Autozone and the one i got the shaft was too big. My original cleavage pin didnt work on it so i took it back. Do all the remanufactored brake boosters not come with the cleavage pin? And do they all come with larger shatfs compared to the originals? Whats the deal?? Thanks Keith

Fellow club members, blessed with a couple of sixty degree days (about twenty degrees above normal here in Lincoln, NE) I set out to solve a nagging choke problem. After pulling the center console and turning it upside down, I noticed that the small shoulder bolt that connects the "u-turn" of the choke cable to the choke handle is broken. If anyone has one they would like to sell or knows where I can get one, I would appreciate it. I would hate to have to park the car this winter. E-mail me at Sbutternut@juno.com or send a PM Thanks, SKB '71 240Z

How do you know whether to use a short shank or long shank other than matching what you are replacing.

Hey guys. I'm just about done with my restoration of my 72 240 Z and it looks amazing. I painted it LaManes Sunset (350z Orange) but here's the problem... The car fill's with exaust. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing gets rid of it. I've replaced every gasket and weatherstriping that can be replaced. It seems to me that the problem is the engine is running to rich. I have tried to tune the SU's about a million times and only once has the car not smelled like exaust, and that only lasted about a day. I've adjusted the float bowles, changed out the needles, adjusted the mixture nuts. It seems like no matter what I do it smells like exaust. I'm going…
