Good Morning All. I Am Needing Some Help On Installing My Fuel Tank And All The Hoses On My 240z Is There Aspecial Order In Which The Hoses Have To Be Put On Including The Fill Neck ? I Have Attempted This Twice Now And Have Trouble With Space For My Hand To Reach . Any Ideas Would Be Greatly Appreciated . (i Have All New Factory Hoses And Fill Neck , The Tank Was Boild Out And Everything Is Clean )

Well as some of you may have read I picked a "72 Z a few weeks back. The car sat for 5 years in a garage. I got it towed home changed all the fluids, got a new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter. The car started right up and ran great. I drove it for about 5 miles and it was running like a dream. Then it was like someone flipped the "run like $^!# switch". First the car started to really hesitate and fall on it face under part throttle, then it started to back fire under throttle. So I found one sweet deal in my Z for 200 bucks. The thing is I'm currently an autobody student so I wanted a car that I could use as a project. Thus the Z. After my autobody classes are over I'm going to go into automotive itself. Anyway thats brief history on my Z. Its a 1978 280 and I'm having to replace the head but as I'm doing it I'm running into alot of problems. Heres some so far. I broke the throttle return spring cuz it was rusted out. Various bolts and nuts have been broke/rounded But the biggest problem is the EGR Valve. I bent the piping going from it into the exhaust manafold trying to the pipe off so I could get the exhaust off the head. I'm thinking about …

Yesterday, the linkage arm fell off of my wiper motor, and in all the rain and cold, wasn't able to find any parts that fell off into the cowl area. I am just going to drive my 2nd car, and was wondering where I should purchase the parts necessary to attach the arm back onto the motor. Essentially I want to buy new (if possible) all parts that connect the motor and the linkage arm. Not sure what this entails at this point. I noticed that neither MSA or Dragon have any of these parts listed in their mag's....are these parts normally purchased at the Nissan dealership? If so, so I don't have to go down to the dealership in person, can anyone tell me what the part numbers …

Hope someone can help. I am pretty new to the fourm but have spent a ton of time researching here and the fsm and FI Bible to find some information to help solve my problem. I will tell you what I know and maybe someone can tell me what I don't. I have a 76 z been sitting for 18 years. I got it started but is a bit hard to start. I cannot give it gas or it just breaks up very bad and backfires through the intake. If I give it gas very slowly it will rev up pretty good(very slowly). I have a 77 280Z and through you guys' help got the new one in and everything back together and thought everything was goos to go but found one problem...after getting everything in and good to go, I found out that the clutch actuator (pretty sure that's what its called) once bolted back in, doesn't reach the fork when the pedal is depressed. The fork is too far back for the pin to hit when you press the clutch pedal and we were certain everything was in and perfect when it was all bolted back together...any suggestions? I really can't afford to take it to a shop to have it all done, basically wound up broke after ordering in a new clutch and driveshaft plus assorted necc…

I got a massive problem with condensation. What can i do to clean it up? a mate of mine tried to tell me to run metho through it but i dont think thats healthy for the engine. Ive run some spitfire through it but i still get more than a bit of white smoke plus lots of water. Before you say it, its not fuel ive checked nor is it blue smoke so i know its not oil. This supprised me as the car had not been started in ages before i got it. When i gave it the first kick in a long time there was a huge cloud of smoke but its nowhere near as much as it was but i want to get rid of as much as i can:rambo:
