......operative word being "was"! I got the inspection report back from www.automobileinspections.com - phenomenal. Do you know they sent me 63 pictures? I didn't even know what some of them were. One of them looked like it was inside the oil comparment or some place like that. And the owner said "no rust." The pics alone defied that, even before I read the report. There are potential brake and tranny issues. All four tires were barely legal (so much for new Pirelli's on the front wheels). I just got my gas tank dropped Sunday and the contents are alot of crud and rust.(car sat for 6 years) I have been reading many of the forums and am trying to decide if I should take it in to a radiator shop and have it boiled and resealed or just get a new one. Does anyone know where you can get a new tank besides a dealership? Or has anyone had luck with having their tank redone? The prices locally vary and being a woman don't want to be taken for a ride...so to speak... by saying the tank needs to remanufactured...which is where the price gets ugly, and wonder if a new tank would be cheaper. Any advice anyone has would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I HEAR GUYS SAY, well, I am off to the frame shop, or, oh yea, my local welder put the floor pans in, ect, ect. Well, I don’t seem to know any frame guys, welder guys, "Z" guys, or any paint guys. My town has, from what I see no special interest guys at all. Only the usual suspects, Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, and in Ct. Bob Sharp Nissan, good old #33 if you all know what that means. In the middle of engine rebuild and I am going through the engine bay, On the passenger side I see the rusted frame area. See Pic. What can I do to this? Is this something I can weld a patch to or is it really serious. I doesn't look good. I can shake the car and the split moves.

ok, when I hit my brakes...my parking lights come on.. I can't figure out what the hell is going on.. it started with the fuse for the dash lights blowing out.. and the fuse post for the running lights melted part of the fuse box... thought there might be a short or loose connection.. so after messing with it, I got the running lights to work, the dash lights to work, but I cant stop the running lights to come on when I hit the brakes. Plus the fuse posts for the running lights still gets really hot.. anyone have this problem before?

I recently purchased a 1980 280ZX from e-bay. I am having a bit of trouble tracking the vin to find out exactly what I have. If anyone can help I would realy appreciate it. VIN# IS - HS130220226. I'm trying to do a value adjustment on a 75 280z and unable to loosen the pivot locking nut on the value adjusters. Is there a special tool for this or some trick trick I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated . Andy

Well,... I now have a job working at New Generation Motorsports (ngmotorsports.com). I started monday, last week. And, thankfully, Gino my boss has allowed me to take my 240z into the shop and work on it. We solved most of the problems you all have mentioned, and I thank you for the advice. The fuel is perfect, and spark is beautiful. But, she still wouldn't start up. So, we took the head off. We noticed that the timing chain was extremely loose. The valves are damaged, and the pistons took extremely hard hits. On top of that, the brakes need to be completely taken out and replaced. Along with the clutch. Does anyone know where I can find Watanabe RS 15X8 or 15X7 (Drool)? i would really like the one pictured here with the same size. http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136284 I am located in California.
