Hi there I'm a new member who has just restored a '72 240z (Dee Dee). It is all done but I need four parts to be complete. First an original horn cover, second a up/down swithch for the radio antenna and two original hubcaps. I hope there is some one who help and/or steer me in the right direction to obtain. I live in Brampton Canada (just outside Toronto). Thanks. PS everything else is original.

okay I have 2 questions what is the corect level of oil in the dampers on the roundtop carbs because the haynes manual tells you to fill the dampers to the correct level with SAE 20 engine oil, BUT IT NEVER TELLS YOU WHAT THE CORRECT LEVEL IS!!! Also how do you adjust the carbs if the car isnt running (is it just guess and check??) because the Haynes manual tells you to adjust the carbs after the engine obtains normal operatring temperature but my car doesnt run and I think I need to adjust to get it to run, ( is cold enginge adjustment covered in the Z therapy video??) thanks, Ill be back monday.

hi i own a 1983 280 zx and i just fine tuned the car. it has been sitting for a year. it wouldnt even start when i bought it. changed the plugs, wires distributor, tps, tvs, fuel filter and it idles great. when i take it for a drive or rev it up it wants to stall out. after driving it 4 miles it wants to quit running. the engine is hot and the catilatic con. getts so hot you could roast marshmallows under there. i think the car needs a new catilatic con. anybody run in to this problem. thanks much appreciated canadian eh!

My car dosent start yet and I noticed a long time ago that the filter for the manual pump dosent fill all the way even when the car was sort of running, since fuel was making it to the filter and to the carbs I figured it was fine, but sinse the car isnt running I thought I'd check. they are filling half way

76 280z with vacuum operated heat/ac controls. however, i have absolutly no vacuum comin or going throught the hoses. my a/c works, but air will blow through the center vents only. other than that i got nothin. ive hooked and unhooked everything i can think of and checked this site over... does anyone know what i need to replace to restore the vacuum to my lines?

hi i just bought a 1983 280 zx i replaced the tps because the car was stalling out and i was told that would fix it. it didnt when i try to turn the key nothing happens after 20 or more times sometimes it will start.and stall out. the volt meter for the battrry goes up and down.please help please

Good afternoon everyone. I am in need of your help again. This weekend took the z out for a ride and it got hot so put the tee tops back on and turned on the ac unit. The air was only coming out of the floor vents. Switched the controller over to vent then heat and then defrost and still only out via the floor. I have removed the radio and the air flow contoller. My '83 280ZX has begun acting very strangely. On start-up (cold) it runs normally, but as it warms up it starts to bog if you accelerate past 3,000 rpm. The hotter it gets, the worse the bog. Through trial and error I have found that if you turn off the key while driving, and turn it right back on again, the problem dissappears......til the next time, which could be 5 seconds later, or 15 minutes later. I think I've narrowed the problem down to either gas or electric (). Seriously, I was leaning towards a bad coil as the existing coil gets rather hot to the touch when the engine is warm. anyone have any different speedo gears for a 5 spd, somewhere between 77 and 83. Have white installed, boy just got poped for 63 in a 45 SAID he was doing 45 by the speedo who knows. But anyway got a bid on a blue and another white on ebay but trying to round up others so I can get this thing close to accurate!
