Hello, Al here. I'm new to the forum. Forgive me if I'm commiting a feax pau (sp?) by posting in the wrong place. I'm just trying to gauge interest in a 73 240z. It's an orange 5 speed that appears to be rust free upon a quick inspection. I'm told it runs very well, with no leaks. I will confirm everything myself. I may even make it my own daily driver, who knows? Anyways, any and all opinions and advice on this car are welcome (what should I look for? problem areas? typical issues?) Also, any interested potential buyers, please let me know (although I have a habit of keeping everything...) Thanks, and have a great 4th of July! Al

Hello, I purchased a 76 280Z a couple months ago and it runs and drives great but I have a problem with the turn signals and high beam. When I move the signal stalk, I have left turn signal, but no right and when I pull back the high beams are inop. I bought a turn signal stalk/switch advertized as fitting a 76 but it was the wrong size. The month/year the car was built stamped on the door plate is 7/76. I want to buy another new switch, but don't want to end up with the wrong part again. I checked JC Whitney (carparts.com) and they have a part with stock # HLS1026 and they want $183 for it. I'm trying to make sure I find and buy the right part since I can't find i…

Well my car sat for a month and when I went to go to work the other morning while I was accelerating I heard a new noise that wasn't there before. I took it out today and figured out it happens at 2500 rpm no matter what gear. I get an odd sound(a low drone), and a slight vibration I can feel in the shifter, and the pedals. Any ideas? I know my throwout bearing is going because it's making noise, could it be getting worse?

I recently posted a question about my 240z and have another question. Is there anyone in the Indianapolis area that can help me with the restoration? Any good body shops? I am not looking for a concourse restoration but to get the car in good shape and back on the road. Thanks.

I'm going nuts! My tailights aren't working. Cleaned the contacts, new atlernator, good battery, new fuses and the best I get is an extremely dim light you can barely see. It has to have a common denominator. One bulb was burnt out. One bulb won't cause all the light to do that wouldn't it? PLEASE HELP!!! Chilton says replace the ignition relay switch. WTF is that? Thanks guys, so to be so dumb! :stupid:

I just got the carb rebuild kit for my 260Z with new floats. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to get the old floats out. They're the original flat tops that have a bar that holds them in. after removing the screw covering one side I found that it was sunk in to far to get any pliers in to reach it and I can't really pry it out. Has anyone done these yet? I can't find anything in the archives.

Hi there, first time user. I have an early production 70 240z that I am trying to restore. I recently purchased an early 71 to use for parts etc. When I look at the gas tank / fuel filler area they are very different. The 71 has a vapor tank and a lot of extra hoses associated with the gas tank that the 70 does not. Was there a major change between the first and second year? Thanks.
