Rota RB Help!!! 1 2

First off.... Happy Holidays to all!! I just purchased some ROTA RB's for my 1977 280z. I need some guidance..... It appears as though the stock lug nuts will not work as the lug holes of the new ROTA rims are too narrow to tighten. Any suggestions for lugs? Also, the rims are 15x7. Will a 215/60/15 tire fit without issue? Thanks much in advance! Jeff

Hello all, I am a bit puzzled. Did anybody ever replace the capacitor thingy on a 76´ 280z fuel tank sending unit? Is there any replacement part? My whole sending unit it pristine, just the darn capacitor is completely rusted (guess it was in old petrol too long...) and there is virtually NO junkyard with parts here. Can I salvage an ebay unit for the capacitor? See image stolen from Hybridz for reference, need the small metal tube, everything else is in perfect condition

Newly painted by a professional painter. Willing to sacrifice my 1972 240Z for less than what I have in this car. All it needs is someone to put in the interior and exterior parts. I have 97% of all parts for this car. All new interior. Just needs installed. You will not find a better deal anywhere for a car like this. Cannot find anyone who will finish car for me. Need to sell. This was a car like I owned as a young man and really wanted to restore it. The mechanical has been done and all body and paint work was done by a pro. I spent nearly 8,000 getting the car blasted and repainted.

Trying once again to get this thing on the road again. as I am no mechanic, I have in the hands of a shop. I am trying to get some idea of what is fair $$. What should I expect to pay to get fuel tank boiled, cleaned and sealed? And what should I expect to pay for a sending unit? The tank is rusty for sure. know nothing in re to sending unit. Also says clutch master and slave need replacement. It seems the slave was replaced about 3 yrs ago, but has been sitting all that time. Valve adjustment??

Hello to all. . . Hopefully someone can shed some light. Starting a jan 71 car with 260 engine I just bought after 15 garaged years. Loaded the cylinders with penetrating oil, waited 3 days. Changed the oil and pre-filled the new filter with oil. Valve cover is off and I'm hand turning the crank and waiting for oil on the rockers. . . Seems like I turned 30 or 40 revolutions so far and still no sign. Do I keep going or order a new oil pump? Thought it would be there by now. . . . . Andy

Hi, I didn't drive my z for three months, so I put a car cover and tarp on it and let her set for a bit. I came back to a very moldy Z car. Lesson learned, she's going in the garage next time ?. I cleaned up the mold and started her up, started like I never left as was running great. I let her run for about 10 minutes, and then the idle started to get lumpy and it was surging. I went on a drive around the block and it had very little power and consistently wanted to die. I parked it and tried to start it back up and now she won't start at all. I have gone through the EFI bible a good bit, tested all the injector circuits, tested the water temp sensor, c…

I really like these rims. I thought they were Konig Rewinds...… but if you look close the have a bit of a bladed edge on the fingers (see pic #2). The Rewinds are more rounded Can anyone identify or know what brand and style these rims are? Thanks in advance! Jeff

So its probably a head gasket, but i just wanted to ask around. My cars been sitting for a bout a year; ive been getting it back up and running after replacing the heater core.... I noticed yesterday when i was idling the car for about 20-30min there was a good amount of thin white smoke coming out of the exhaust; smelt more of fuel my initial thought was that there could have been condensation build up from sitting for so long, no biggie lets just warm it up, and drive it. After a certain amount of time it stopped too, which was a good sign. Today when i was draining the coolant upon removing the rad cap, i stuck my finger in it, and realized there wa…

Hi guys, I have watched tons of videos and read the FSM and anything I could find on removing tranny, swapping clutch and maintenance I need to do while in there. I'm gonna put out everything I can think of and PLEASE let me know if I am missing anything. 1: put car on stands, high enough the transmission can be pulled out from. and disconnect battery 2: Pull out shifter linkage with pin on side 3:Remove Exhaust 4: Drain Tranny fluid 5: Remove Driveshaft(mark how driveshaft is attached, remove 4 blts to diff, then slide out of tranny) 6: remove starter 7: Remove reverse switch, slave cylinder, and I believe speedo cable? 8: jack up…
