Hi, i just did some work on my 1972 datsun 240z. This "work" was replacing the condenser. Everything was going well until i dropped a nut inside the distributor and i had to take everything apart. I put everything back together, regapped the points and turned it over only to find i had no spark =( perhaps i missed something? i checked it twice then three times and even swapped the old condenser back on ( which sparked before i did all this) and still no spark. Maybe someone could help me... maybe not, but im sure with some time i can figure out what i did wrong. probably something dumb.

My left tail light is dirty from 30 odd years of exhaust fumes and it annoys me. So this afternoon I took it all apart (who would have thought gettnig a tail light out could be so difficult?) but now I'm left with tthe whole assembly on the kitchen table. I can't work out how to take it apart! How do you separate the lenses from the rest of the tail light assembly? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for how to clean them? Thanks !!

Is it possible to change the yoke on the rear differencial? Are the yokes between the t-5 tranny and the R180 interchangable? I was wondering if I could put the mating end of the turbo driveshaft on the non turbo R180 differencial? DeeDee

When you have a non-turbo car and you swap it to a turbo car. do you have to swap the differential too. I put the turbo motor in , the turbo tranny, the drive shaft and I see that the driveshaft (turbo) bolts don't line up with the holes for the differential. Does that mean that I have to swap the whole thing or just the part that you bolt to the driveshaft??????? Please help!!!!! DeeDee

I was rear-ended, and their insurance is wanting to total my baby. I have had three estimates to fix, and they are all running around $3,000. She is in fair-good condition, having many parts I have not put on/installed due to weather. I am just needing some advice on how to proceed with the insurance company. I truely want to keep her, but don't want a reconstructed title to ruin the value. What can I do? Thanks!!! ~Richard dr_rich007@hotmail.com

Let me preface this by saying I have searched the forums a bit and have consulted my Clymer and Haynes manuals. I'm sure this has been discussed here at one point but I can't find anything that matches my situation. I just need a little help getting pointed in the right direction. I've had the Z for about 2 1/2 months now. I've been driving it leisurely around the neighborhood about once a week. It has always been a little difficult to start but once it starts up it ran great. A few weeks ago, I noticed that it would sputter when starting from a stoplight but, after almost dying, would eventually "wake up" and be fine. A few days ago, I started it and it had a VERY…

=( i broke the bleed screw on the right rear drum brake. I bled the rest of the system and im still getting decent brakeing, but what do i do now? another problem is my 72 datsun has spot from 2000-4000 rpms where it runs terrible. before i started changing stuff around on the carb i figured i would ask people here and also to say my muffler is gone and could possibly be a factor. My final question is what to do about my floorboards... mine need to be replaced in both sides of the car, but the support underneath them ( im not quite sure what its called, but it runs underneath the floor boards giving them support) is rotted completely aswell, maybe there is a kit that sel…
