I've heard you guys talk about the floor pan repalcements from Zed Findings. Two questions, 1). Can you order 1 side instead of entire kit, 2) Do they come with seat mounts or do I cut my old ones out and use again. Thanks

Hi guys, something thats starting to bug me, I have a reconditioned 5 speed close ratio gearbox, as soon as I get to about 2500rpm a high pitch whine starts up. If I back off and the revs drop below 2500 no more whine , rev back up and the whine returns. If I hold the gearstick the whine changes pitch so Im thinking vibration? But why and how to get rid of it? cheers

Hi all, DISCLAIMER: I'm a newbie to the forums so if I break any forum rules, it is purely by accident. Some background... I am the proud owner of a 1970 240z. It was one of the 500 built in 1969 (202nd built, hence my nick.) I bought this car a year and a half ago and it was in good, but not excellent condition. The previous owner had the entire engine rebuilt and detailed, the body repainted (very poor job), and the interior was in really worn condition. On to the real story... Yesterday, I pulled up to a stop sign when the SUV in front of me put it in reverse and crushed my right front and damaged my right front fender, front bumper, hood, and my radiator. I'm sure his…

Hey, folks. My 260's choke lever is loose...the loop on the end of the cable will occasionally 'click' out of the keepers(which look like small blocks of aluminum) on the lever, and I can't open the choke back up as a result. I know there's a way to tighten this, but I can't seem to get at the underside of the console to do it. Any ideas?

i'm trying to attach pics to my post but they won't upload.i know there's a size limit. the pics are 1600x1200 pixels(.169KB) and1224x816pixels (.478KB).i downloaded pisas2 and i tells me these are jpeg. i browse, locate file and hit upload. the manage box tells me this may take some time,i wait and suddenly the manage box goes blank, doesn't notify me that file is done or if file is too big or anything. the file i'm trying to upload has 6 or 7 pictures in it,probably too big. i tried to do 1 pic from this file and get same results.thanks in advance.

Hi all, Hope you can give me some insights. I've just replaced the clutch and bled the system, drained and refilled the tranny oil, and bled the brake system. I can move the shifter in all gears okay with engine off. However, when the engine is running, I can't shift into any gears, no matter how hard I tried. I have attempted to decrease the clutch/shift fork gap but all that does is firm up the pedal travel and the problem remains. With the engine off, I can shift into 1st gear, start the engine, slowly release the clutch pedal and the car will move forward. However, I just can't shift to any other gears while the engine is turning. I do hope the problem is not the sync…

Ok, I admit, I didn't think ahead. So, the other weekend, I completely stripped the rear suspension off my 280Z. Evernthing from struts to differential. Going to redo everything, just like the front suspension. So what is the problem? I didn't remove the axle nuts before taking the struts off! :stupid: I've read all the "techniques" for removing this nut while on the car. I tried the following: bolted the strut to the wheel, and had 400+ lb of wife and 2 children stand on the tire. With the 3 foot breaker bar I have on it, I could spin them around without all that much trouble. I figured rubber on garage floor with 400 lbs of weight would provide more friction…

I have a '73 240. I just pulled the dash and am ready to reinstall. My first question is in pic on the left, the arrow points to what seems a ground housing. I have an illumination bulb that has a socket that is different than any other socket under the dash. It just happens to fit inside it perfectly. does it go there? And secondly, what plugs into the male spade plug on the block on the back of my speedometer in the second pic? I hope these aren't dumb questions, I just want to make sure everything is plugged in correctly. Thanks! ~Richard Dr_Rich dr_rich007@hotmail.com

Anyone close by University and and the I-15 that could stop by and take a look see at my 71 240z and tell me what all I have and give me sub heads up on a few things since I am new to the 240Z community. This would make my life much simpler. Give me a ring. 858-248-5284. Blackjack

Hi guys and gals.Do you know if any company makes dual exhaust like the old days. Its full dual and the tailpipes are on top of eachother instead of side by side.As a teenager watching dragracing inJapan i heard the sweetest sound of a Z triple carbs and that exhaust combined was the most beautiful sound. Also does anyone have any info about the OS GIKEN twincam 24valve engine L6? This guy way back in the days had one triple carbs 3liter non turbo. And he just stomped on this ToyotaSoarer 6MG with Blitz turbo kit on it.Back then that Soarer was dynoed at 420 rwhp. Too bad they didnt have digital cameras back then. That Z is etched in my mind and was always wondering what kin…
