Anybody have any schematics (or how ever you spell it) on a heater for a 77 280z. I need to know where all my vacume lines go from the heater/AC/defrost switch. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanx

Hi All, I just got a new Pacesetter exhaust pipe and muffler. I got the old pipe off OK. The original header remains. And the new pipe is made for the original header. I widened the mouth of the the new pipe a bit and it will go on to the header only about an eigth of an inch. I struggled with it for four hours. I used grease to try to amke it slip on easier. It still won't go on any more than an eigth of an inch. My arms and back are sore. Any ideas? Thanks

I've have my '72 240 for a while, but just had the time to really start working on it. Here's what it's like... -great interior, no cuts, clean -original L24 motor with 103k miles on the odometer -starts up without hesitation and runs pretty strong -just replaced all soft brake lines, master cylinder and servo hoses, brakes well -new plugs, wires, fuel and air filter -just replaced clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder/boot and shifts well -body is ok, except for usual rust spots..small hole in floor, where front fenders attach to body -exhaust is completely rusted, but doesn't sound bad at all -all bushings are really bad, tie rod boot is almost gone and feels like it'…

I have a 75 280z. I left my lights on, and about 6 or so hours later i couldnt start my car. I got a jump start. Car ran normal for about 5 mintues, then died. Wont crank over. Got another jump start. Ran fine until i was parking. Died again, when i let off the gas. The battery was repalced a few months ago. Is the alternator bad, or the battery is bad? I tried to push start it, i dosnt want to turn over. thanks in advance jesse.

About a month ago I took the head off my car and now I am putting another one back on. The night I took it off, I forgot to put the engine at TC, so I did it today. I am so stupid When I turned the crank (my friend held the chain so it would not fall in) the chain did not move because it fell below the teeth on the crank. Now the bright timing link is in the wrong place at TC. Is there an easy fix??? Please say yes!

Anyone know what size the origanal dashlight bulbs where? What size or part number. All mine where blown when I bought the car so I was waundering if the size that was in there was wrong. They say 12v 3.4w

I was pulling off my front sway bar and it had seemed to be comming out easy. The front drivers side bolt broke halfway into the frame. I'd like to drill it out and then use a tap and die set to redo the threads. Has anyone had any experiance doing tap and die? I hate rusty hardware!

I have been looking at this 72 Presimene red 240Z it looks like it has aapx 38,000 miles body is excellent floor pans and frame rails excellent he did go nuts with the undercoating in engine bay he is the original owner. White interior plastic trim discolored. We took of the damper and checked carbs and one was stuck but with a little coaxing we got the piston to move freely and added a some oil to both carbs and the move fine. Problem there must be some type of vapor lock because we can not get gas to the carbs we added 5 gallons to the tank and I would say the car probably has not run in a while. I am pretty excited about this find !!!!! I got the Z fever

Hello It looks like I may need to have my clutch master cylinder sleeved and rebuilt. I am trying to ascertain if the unit that is currently installed in my car is correct/original equipment as supplied by the factory or if it has been replaced with an aftermarket unit. I dont want to invest money into having the unit done and find out that it isnt correct. The car in question is a 1971 240z, Australian (RHD) specification. Is anyone out there able to post pics or a description of the clutch master cylinder that they have installed in there car if they know it is correct/original equipment for a 71 240z. Im not sure if the LHD and RHD markets varied as to what was fact…
