Hey guy's Im about ready to put together my F54 N42 combo and im worried about the CR. I have a 20 thou over bore and with the standard head gasket I get 9.92:1 but with the 2mm HKS head gasket I get a CR of 9.2:1. So my question is this... Which one is better for a daily driver? Ill be using SU's with sm needles a stock cam and header with 2 1/2inch pluming and an electric dizzy I really need some advice on this one guys, I don't want to do it twice:ermm: Matt-

I'm frustrated. Just replaced the rotors & pads on my front brakes on the 260Z. Everything's back together & I can't seem to get the brakes bled. I read the other posts on the procedure & I made up the bleeder bottle discussed. I bled the rear brakes first, even though I didn't tear into them this time. I keep getting air - despite about 1/2 bottle of DOT3. I bled the master - lots of bubbles, took a long time to get them to stop & never completely stopped. I then rebled the whole system from furthest to closest. The front brakes never seem to quit giving up air. Can't believe I've got this much air in the system - seems like I've got an air lea…

I'm having some issues with the tach in my 74' 260 (Carborated L28 engine) The car itself starts (if I can ever track down why my battery keeps draining, maybe reliably someday) and runs fine, but my tach doesn't work. When the car is off the needle goes to the rest loaction on the guage, but when you start it the needle goes all the way right. I've seen it work once for a few minutes then it just went to the right again. Any ideas? Thanks

Hey guys I was taking a look at my engine today, and noticed that the circular caps pluged on the oil filter side of the block. One of them seems to have a hole in it. More like a broken hole the size of this:cry: . What should I do? Can I replace it or should I not worry. If so how do I get a new one and whats the process of removal. Thanks

My 1983 280zx turbo that I just bought is not running well. I am starting to think someone has put the non-turbo afm in this car. The resistance tests that I just finished read more like the non turbo afm.The afm in the car is a JECS A31-630 840 2Z21 L28 Does anyone know if this the right afm. I have a factory service manual and am tring very hard to fix this myself. It does not give any part numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

Well here is the deal. I was removing the carbs with my father. I was labeling the hoses as I took them off A B C D etc. Well I went into the house to take care of some things and came out to find out that he removed the rest of the hoses without me. But he didn't label anything, just removed them. Thanks Dad. The issues I have now are two things. 1. Does any of the 260Z owners with the stock carbs have pictures of how the lines run for me? Any pictures that have some decent detail to let me know where everything heads would be so great at this point just to help me track them down a bit. 2. I am noticing that as I am looking at the carbs that some places like the ports …

I have a '73 240Z with a retrofitted (if that even qualifies as the 240s didn't come with A/C anyway) A/C system. I need to know how much of a R134a charge it will need. I'm working on my system at school in automotive A/C class, but I've yet to find any hard facts on how much charge it takes. The most I know about it right now is that it has a massive York Compressor. Unfortunately the compressor's clutch is constantly engaged when I turn the A/C on which will be another problem I have to address. Any help on how much charge I put in the system will be great.
