Last night on my 72 240z I thought my coil went bad. After sitting for about a half hour last night it wouldn't start up again. I towed it home and looked it over. It wasn't getting any spark at the plugs, so I checked the coil wire. Won't jump harldy any gap, couldn't even see a visable spark unless it was touching the block. So I checked power to it. Oddly, it had 12 volts at the negative end, and nothing at the positive end. So I bought a new coil this morning, put it on, wired up just like the old one, and still no starting. Hello, again....Ok i was wondering about rislone and other types of additives... What is the deal on them, and should i add some to the car since it has been sitting for a few years...I have some skynthetic stuff in there that is what was in it when i got it, and it had an oil change. THanks

I got the tank off o.k. (will be different putting it back on!) and will get it refinnished. Is there anything else under there I should look at connected to the tank? Replace hoses, etc? My gas gage does not work. I pulled the float thingy and checked the wires and contacts; everything looked o.k. Could there be something here that causes the gage to not work? I also pulled the fill plug on the differential to check fluid level. I have tried this before but it is very difficult with the tank on. Fluid came out of the hole very much like water. Does this seem like the correct fluid weight? The fluid was sort of cloudy like there might be water or air in it.

I need help identifying and locating the relay that controls the electric fuel pump on a 73 240Z. The original owner of the Z informed me that it quit working before he stored the car. I have traced the power lead in the electrical schematic from the battery to the fuse panel and I have found the green wire lead for the fuel pump that has an inline fuse. The fuse by the way is good. However I lost it again under the dash headed over to the group of relays that are located on the passenger side outside wall, but these old eyes can not find the relay nor the wire leading to it. I need this information to correct the vapor lock problem that the electrical pump was originall…

Ok as i was gettin ready to take off my old side draft air filter system i noticed i go these hoses that go to my carb the the filter, i planned on putting on these new K&N filters i got, what do i do about these hoses??? and also i got one pretty decent size of hose goign from the valve cover to the air cleaner, my dad says i can just plug that temporairly till i get the air filter for that? he says i got good compression so i will be fine..i didn't have much clue on what he was sayin so what do i do with the big hose for now???pluggin it alright for temporary?? and the two hoses going to the carbs, i think it's the float bowl..what do i do with them?? thanks i am do…

MY 81 280 ZXT turbo just quit . I think the berrings seized up. can I rebuild it? What do I need to do ? what parts do I have to hunt up for this? I can do the work myself . parts no.whould help too. Need my baby to fly again.

Ok, I was driving the Z quite hard, and I took a sharp left turn (drifting in fact) and was running with a fuu tank of gas... As I excited the turn, I could smell a bad vapor of gas coming from behind.. I just freaked out...:dead: Well, stop on the side of the road, and saw a huge amout of gas that did came out of the fuel filler cap.. Have you guys experienced this before??? The rubber on the cap is ok (might be on the dry side to my thought), but the gas cap was perfectly tight yesterday.. What is wrong?? Any tips???

I can't loosen the metal hoses connected to the bottom of the old master cyl. I have wasted a bottle of WD-40 and most of the skin on my hands trying. Rather not use a torch (don't ask) but any other thoughts?
