Yesterday while driving down the freeway at a constant speed, I noticed my fuel gauge going down rapidly. Then it came back up and proceeded to go up and down at about the speed of second hand on a clock. Does anybody know what is likely to be going on? I've never seen anything like it. I'd hate not to be able to trust the fuel gauge.

All of a sudden my tail lights, dash lights and front and rear left and right parking lights do not light up. The head lights do work. Already checked the fuse box and the instrument / dome light and the rest of fuses are good. Where do i check next? All bulbs on the tail lights are fine. Where else shall i check? I have both of daves upgrade circuits installed.

Background: the car has been driving great back in the mid to late 90's, been parked in a dry enclosed space (socal) from 97-8 till now.since it was pulled out of storage (last year) the radiator (aluminium job, 3 row, much bigger then stock) been replaced, water pump been replaced, new thermostat been replaced.all hoses been replaced. What can go wrong?well.... it acted as if the thermostat(180f) will not open, the gauge pegs and the bottom hose is cold, replace thermostat..same thing, cut up the old thermostat(as in remove the wax pellet) and try again, much better but now it heats at streetlights, cools off while driving, remove the 2 12 inch electric fans and reinstall…

Could someone please post a pic of their 240z brake check valve? I can’t locate mine maybe it doesn’t exist My running, almost rust free 1973 240z scraed me a bit on my first drive yesterday. The brakes are horrible. Feels like when I botched a bleeding on my wife’s brakes years back. Lots of pedal effort with just gradual slowing. Applying brake while idling causes an increase in RPM. A squishing airish sound when the brakes are first applied. I was originally thinking it was definitely the booster. Then I started to wonder about the check valve. I can’t even find the check valve. I assume it’s on the vacuum line somewhere between the brake booster…
