Well, I just received that dreaded call from my local radiator shop. They pressured my radiator up and it has multiple cracks throughout the upper and lower tanks. So it is now scarp metal. I am curious about the radiators you see for sale on Ebay. The radiators seem very reasonable price wise, but will they bolt up correctly and what kind of quality are they? Anyone out there have any experience with these aftermarket radiators ? I provided some links to kind of show what I am looking at. http://www.ebay.com/itm/UPGRADE-4-ROWS-ALUMINUM-RADIATOR-FOR-1975-1978-DATSUN-280Z-FAIRLADY-Z-S130-L28-N-/322768814567?fits=Year%3A1978|Make%3ADatsun|Model%3A280Z&has…

so i was driving down the road last night about 2:30am and i noticed my head lights weren’t working only my high beams but didn’t care that much just wanted to get home. so i keep going and i look at my AFR gauge and it was a little lean so i took it out of gear and put it in neutral and my RPMS jumped to 3000 and then started fluctuating between 2500-3000 and wouldn’t stop so i pulled over looked for vacuum leaks and found nothing. kept look and couldn’t find anything so i pulled the wire on the AFM and it made my RPMs drop about 1000 but kept fluctuating. i can’t figure out what’s wrong plz help! There's a condenser that comes out of the harness with the wires that connect to the alternator. That condenser is screwed into one of the screws that holds the old voltage regulator on the wheel well. The instructions say nothing about that condenser so I'm assuming it stays??

Hello! I am Nearing completion of a restoration (final phase is interior renewal/replacement of original finishing panels) for my 1977 280. I need help identifying missing part for space "cut out" . This empty space is above drivers side lower finishing panel (above hood release and vent Knob) and below dash. There is a threaded attaching spot in the middle of this open area on the metal behind dash/panel . My car has factory A/C if that matters? I will try to send picture attachment to clarify mystery space? If it would be better to post this question in another forum, please let me know...I'm trying to access a 280Z (1977?) "resident guru" ? Any help...please…

Hopefully this is the right board for this thread, my apologies if not(also, forgive me for making my first post a "help me" post!) I have a 1977 Z I have been working on getting running, I'm at the point where my focus is on the engine. Unfortunately, I've hit a wall because of an issue with a constantly high idle. Sometimes the engine will start at around 2000-2200rpm and slowly climb until it settles at around 2500-2600, other times its immediately at 2600rpm. The AFM and throttle body move smoothly, and nothing is clogged/sticking inside of either. Throttle response is pretty sharp for what its worth, even at this extreme idle. I have a few thoughts as to w…

I've been scouring the internet and parts stores looking for what I now know to be a "crankcase net." Now the only problem is I can't find it anywhere. If anyone has a link or an alternative that would be great. Thanks.

Hello everyone. my name is crash and i am having an issue with my z. i recently did a ton of work to my car and now it will not start without a shot of ether down the hole. it starts, runs and idles perfectly with a shot of ether but it just cranks and cranks without. it is a factory fuel injected 1978 280z 2+2 with lots of aftermarket external parts. nothing internal has been changed. it has great fuel pressure and amazing spark but will not start without a shot of juice. i have thoroughly cleaned all the injectors and the cold start valve ensuring great flow. i replace all the fuel lines and vacuum hoses. i have troubleshot everything i can think of a…
