Hi to all - lost lights without blowing a fuse. No longer have dash, tail, parking / driving (side and front), licence plate lights. Headlights, signals, brake and interior lights all work. Any suggestions on what to check - thanks in advance, Mike

I can't get carbs to idle down. They either rev high or when they calm down, it stalls. Any help until I can look closer at them? Thank you.

I don't know what to call it. You know, the one that threads onto the spindle after the outer bearing and the washer, and before the retaining cap and cotter pin. I'm mystified how I lost it and have never looked for a thing more thoroughly in my life. I've now thrown in the towel and find that this happens to be an item that can't be found anywhere. So I'm now to the point of asking the Z community if anyone has one or knows where to get one. Please PM me if you have one available. I will be eternally grateful. Thanks,

Suddenly I have a clutch problem on my 78' 280Z. Without starting my car first thing in the morning I can shift the car in all gears. When I start the car I depress the clutch pedal to shift and I can not shift in any gear. At this time the clutch pedal has little resistance. If I pump the clutch pedal several times I am able to shift in all gears. At this time I notice that the clutch pedal has more resistance. Clutch fluid level is full. Do I have a valve problem somewhere. If it is a valve problem would it be better to buy a new or rebuilt one or put a kit in it. Thanks!

Hey all, a bit new to the Z car family. I bought this Z a year ago to use as a daily, she ran fine until about February, in which she began to sputter. A week later she refused to even start. So i used this as an excuse to tear the car apart and build her up. I'm no Z car expert, so I decided to hop onto here to see what kind of help i could get. And frankly, I might need it.

Hello.... Was hoping for a little help. My neighbor just passed away, and went over to his house I found an original 240z in his garage. I talked to the people handling the estate and I bought the contents of the garage including the Z . Its a 1971 mustard z. Original paint ( has blemishes ), and a one owner car. I didnt get it too cheap! I can't get it out of the driveway for a few days. I released the e brake and the brakes are still on.. Im not sure when the last time it moved. Oil filter says 2009 and the last registration is from 2013. Feels like the brake might be stuck, but i guess it could be any of the brakes. Can someone tell me where to start t…

I have the 280ZX distributor swap with the E-12 80 module, into my 71. I have juice coming out of coil going to dizzy, but cannot get juice coming out of dizzy to the plugs. Is there a way to check the E-12 80. There is no reading on the module. Resistance, etc. I have a MSD. I tried the MSD test and it works. Any help ? Thank you very much.

Hey everyone, I've got a 77 Z 2+2 right now and I'm having some issues. The car simply won't idle or if it does it runs really rough at 500 RPMs. It revs up and drives fine, but if I stop it usually dies. I tried the simple thing, to adjust the idle from the idle screw, but the idle will not raise up or lower. It has a sweet spot where it runs best, but 500 RPMs is where the engine is determined to idle. The fuel regulator is hissing. I checked the vacuum line for gas and there wasn't any noticible amount, but I'm pretty positive it shouldn't make that noise. The AFM is new, as the old one wouldn't let the car run at all. Hey guys I don't know if you can help me out. I bought this car about 3 weeks ago and the fuel system seems to be a big problem. Every time I go to gas it up if I don't take 20 minutes to slowly fill it up gas spills out of the tank from where I am filling it. I fixed the pressure problem it had by getting a new ventilated cap from the auto store but it still spills and when I tracked my mpg's I'm getting barely 10 to the gallon on a car recommended at 22. Also I can smell unburnt fuel whenever I'm driving so I feel like I have a leak somewhere but I just don't know where or what to do. Finally installed new fusible wire as directed [emoji23]. But the car starts but runs really rough then turns off on its own, even if i give it some gas. Still confused as to what the problem is.
