Ok, I am eyeing a set of these carbs, they came off of a L26, and they are on a cannon intake. My question is, Will they work good on l24 pretty much stock and will they be ok when this l24 is warmed over really soon? Need advice fast.

The problem you describe can be caused by many factors, not necesarily the carbs but that does sound favorite, You do not know the choke size, this should be 30mm if the rest of the engine is standard, The bigest thing that will affect the running is that you are trying to get more fuel mixture into the motor by running the webers, but what goes in has to come out and the best thing you can do is to get a good set of headers and also a head job! not increasing the valve size but matching the port size If you do not do this you will never get the advantage of the larger carbs, It is well worth the effort and then you can think about the jet size but what you have providing…

Does any one know where you can find the rubber plug that attaches to the firewall for the electrical wiring. Its located below the battery.

I purchased a set of Weber 40 DCOE triples from some guy on ebay who told me they'd been off a car for only 6 months - seeing what I found inside makes me believe that while they may indeed have only been off the car for 6months the car they were on must have been stationary for years.... Th box they arrived in had been sat on by UPS and I didn't see right away that the manifold had broken at one of the balance tubes - anyways nothing a bit of welding can't fix.... so ANYWAYS... here's my question take a look at the two detail shots below> One is of a particularly grungy main jet which I've since had soaking in carb cleaner for days on end and most of this crud has …

Not sure on the theory behind this but: Anyone ever tried fitting Flat slide throttle motorcycle carbs to the L6's before? im talking about the mikuni and keihin ones... Problems i can see are...powerband would be too high, and finding the right size carbs for our use? I know this sort of conversion is very popular on the 4age toyota 4 cylinders due to their instant throttle response, and very high flow. Top end power is generally comparable to a highly tuned FI system. Cost of these carbs is relatively cheap from what ive seen too!

I have a set of triple Delorto carbs that I am putting on my z and would like to know if the 4 psi from my pump is too much. I havent had any problems with the DGVs that are on it now.

The 1973 240 I bought has triple webers but their chokes are not hooked up. Does anyone have any advice on how to fabricate some linkage for these? I live in a fairly cool climate, so I assume I will need a functional choke. Am rebuilding the engine, so I haven't started the engine yet to see how these carbs perform. Thanks.

Is the difference very significant with this assembly? on a stock 240Z (more power, throttle response)? I live in France! where can i find the plenum to do this assembly? is there different models or brands?

I tried to use the Unisyn flowmeter on my three Webers(on a stock 240z) and can't get it to register any flow even when I dial the disk all the way down. Is there a problem with getting enough flow to budge the indicator at idle, or is it a defective meter? I tried the meter on a vacuum cleaner. and it required very little suction to move the indicator, but that's no real test. I thought maybe there could be leakage around the air horns, so I took them off but the meter won't fit between the air cleaner studs. Thanks, Victor

So I woke up this morning and doing the rollout of bed in that instant I decided to call in sick as it's my X'mas today. I'm an Orthadox, albeit an atheist at heart I still respect my parent's traditions. So what to do to kill some time before our family BBQ? ummm.... So I bought myself a new set of SU carbs, a kickarse filter that's a box as well, 2 ram tubes (2.5") and a breather. I can't believe the filter I've bought. If it does half of what I expect it to I will be very happy. Here are some pics of the shiny new toys Santa (read: me) brought on my X'mas Sorry about the quality of some of the photos.

I got it from Midel in Sydney. I can't vouch for it's performance yet but it looks very promising to say the least. Intake surface is huge and it's got a dry 3 layer foam with each layer progressing from a course to a fine build. It fits very nicely in place of the stock air box for the 240/260z from initial measurements. It retails for $120AU GST incl, measurements are 435 x 80mm and part number is PX-C6003 You will also need the base. This will cost you $72.30AU GST incl, part number PX-C6006 I also advise using ram tubes with this system for increased air flow. I am in no way endorsing this product for them, I just think it's a very nice set up so I wanted to sha…
