Restoring 1971 (HLS30 28726). I have the believed-to-be original plastic fuel reservoir / vapour tank. It is however damaged, and I'm not comfortable with the idea of patching it. I also have the steel version that came off a later 1973. It is sound, but will take some metal bending and / or cutting to install. Does anyone know if original-dimension plastic units are available? Or alternatively, does anyone have any experience making the newer steel tank fit the earlier car? Many thanks,

Hello, great to be a part of this forum. Been coming here for answers on getting my project '74 260z running. The old engine is shot and I am replacing it with a L28, but I am using the carbs from the old engine. As the L28 doesn't have accommodation for a mechanical fuel pump, I was installing a new electric one when I realized the FSM says the electric fuel pump only activates when the engine is above 400 rpm. Is there something I need to do to change this to make the engine start correctly? Modify a relay maybe? I appreciate your help.

Hey guys I purchased these Redline filters for my triple weber setup. It states that they are capatable with all air horns but mine seem pretty close to the outside. I'm worried that it will restrict air flow. I may have to purchase the shorter horns but would like not to, What do you guys think?

I got the tube and fittings removed without damage. Now I need the o-rings. Does anyone have a source for the o-rings at each end of the tube which is located between the 2 intake manifolds?

I recently ordered individual ITG air cleaners/filters and air horns from Motorsport Auto for the SU carbs on my '71. This is to replace the stock air cleaner with integral air horns. Anybody know of a reason I should NOT use two rear lids? I've read until my eyes are red. I want the front and rear to use the short valves like I bought from Ztherapy. Tired of fooling with them and was about to drill the longer fronts when I remembered my extra set of carbs. Switched everything around and I can't see any difference except they both have "R" stamped on them. Please tell me if I'm overlooking something.

My 72´ 240z is still not getting the correct tune up! I have tried almost everything but its still backfiring at the intake on both carburetors. I have watch the Ztherapy video like 10 times and followed their instructions but cannot get the job done. The Carbs were recently overhauled by them on last November. 1. Warmed up the car for 5 minutes 2. Took both of the Domes out and rinsed them throughly with Carb Cleaner 3. Cleaned the 6 spark plugs (NGK BP6ES) with brass brush and contact cleaner 4. Put the domes back with their springs and filled the carbs with ATF fluid. 5. Piston falls and rises freely. 6. Set the RPM with the throttle screws on each carb to…

Hey guys, Anyone run into this issue? Stock airbox on a 1971 240Z. Bought a k&n (Model E-2910) which is correct for the year at all sites I checked. Went to install but it looks about 1/4 inch too tall for the box and when compared to the WIX paper filter ordered from MSA. Box will not seal fully. Seats fully with the WIX. In checking specs, it actually looks like the E-2900 for a 73 would be a better fit 2 inch vs 2.375 in). Any ideas?

Hi guys. Wondering if there's any way someone here could help me out with finding a part I'm looking for. I'm currently converting my '73 240z to early SU carbs, and I need to find the long J hook linkage that comes off of the firewall bracket to the rest of the carb assembly. Linkage piece I need is shown in the photos I attached below. Does anyone have one of these or know where I can find one? Any risk of testing the car without the fuel filter fastened to 3 screws Su carburetors (round top) ? How long can you test it without the air box filter on? Trying to get the correct mixture!!
