I have two (dual) SU carburetors but, I cannot find any part/model number on the SU's to identify what they are for. I posted a few pictures in hope that someone can recognize them for me. These SU's are new and never mounted. Thanks for your help drdufty@midmich.net

I need one of those little black oring seals that go on the Idle jets in a Weber DGV. I know that I can get one in a rebuild kit but I dont need a whole kit. Does anyone know where I can get one of these? I have checked online but I cant find any weber distributors that sell only that part. Thanks!

Howdy, Just getting started with restoring 72 240 with 51k original mi. Lots of things to do, but getting it running is first on the list. It sat for about a year. I replaced points, plugs, condensor, rotor, cap, wires, added fresh fuel, sea-foam ( I swear by this stuff!) and to date have gotten one near miss out of the engine. Cleaned the carbs, and referred to the Chiltons which tells me that the carbs need 20W oil in the damper/plunger. I have tried NAPA, and a host of other parts "chain stores" and none of them have 20W any more. Where can you get 20W? Would 5W-20 suffice? also, any tips, pointers both verbal and electronic to areas regarding carb synchronization …

All right, should have asked this question here before I bid. Recently won two new carb springs -- the ones that hook onto the heat shield. Couldn't resist the picture of the shiney cad plating so I bid. The seller assured me they were the right ones for my application before I bid. The springs arrived yesterday, but look much shorter than my old crummy not so shiney ones. My question is -- how long should these springs be for the 1970/71 4 screw roundtop carbs. My old ones might not be right, but they seem like they would be from the fit. Any help I can get on the original length of these springs would be much appreciated.

Here's an interesting thing for you mechanical types to ponder. I had this idea running through my head last night right before I went to bed. The quiet and stillness of the night helps me think up some pretty weird sh*t!!:stupid: I got to thinking about carb setups dual SU's dual Webers triple Webers etc. Now the intake ports on the L series heads are apprx. 40 mm in diameter. (This was measured on an N42 head off an L28) I have a small stash of motorcycle carbs laying around ranging in size from 30mm to 38 mm in throat size. I know for a fact that you can get individual carbs up to 45mm. (Anybody see where I'm going with this yet?) All of a sudden I had th…

I just recently installed my tripple Delorto carbs into my restoration projection. I need to purchase the hoses that connect them all together and run a fuel rail to the pump. Can anyone tell me what size hoses, ends, joints work the best for this set up. See picture below

I got my Synchrometer and adapter for weber DGVs in the mail yesterday and went right out to tune. The instructions didnt make a whole lot of sense to me (inexperienced). Here are the steps I took and my results followed by my question. http://www.racetep.com/weberadj.html I followed the steps in the link above. After step 4.a I started the engine and it was running at 700 rpm. I connected the Synchrometer to the front carb through the adapter and check the primary venturi. It was at a couple lines above 10 kg/h. I then checked the rear carb and it was at a couple of lines below 10 kg/h (remember I already followed the first 3 steps in the link above). I then turned the i…

I apologize for not looking too far into this forum but just to make things quicker... I own a '71 240Z with an L28 using triple webers. I was wondering if anyone has any hints or pictures showing the easiest way to hook up the choke cables. Thanks everyone.

Okay, guys, I wonder if I can get a little help with this. My PO swapped out the '73 flat top carbs for a set of '72 round top SU's. But instead of reinstalling the original linkage, he left it completely unassembled (in a box) and cobbled together a cable linkage assembly. It's pretty crude, but seems to work okay. I've been rummaging through the spares box and made an assessment of the parts, not all the parts are there. So I've been looking through the gallery photos as best I can to try to recreate what/how it's all supposed to work. But I do have a coule of questions I just cant figure out on my own: (see photo - sorry to who's ever photo I used as it's obviously not…

Ok, so i'm driving yesterday and the car stalls out. My sender doesn't work, so i think i'm out of gass. I pop the hood and the filters bone dry. Fill it up with some gass (2-3 gal) and still nothing. So i disconect the hose from the fuel line and stick it in the gas can, bam, starts right up. So i know what Carl will say, clogged lines/rust in the tank. Nope! I drop the tank today and their is No Rust inside the thing, just a small amount of what looks like setiment(SP?),dirt, ect. I blow air through the lines and their clean as a wissle. So what the hell is going on here? Could it be the mistery fuel hose air sucking thing as seen here: http://www.classiczcars.com/fo…
