Heads up, people. The Monza exhaust system for 240Z is now NLA. Last week it was shown as "not currently available" on Black Dragon's website. Today, it is not shown or listed there at all. It has been missing from the Pacesetter website for quite some time. I suspect that it has been officially discontinued by Pacesetter for a while, and BD has finally 'exhausted' their supply. Unless I've missed something, this leaves only the MSA systems (various 2.5" turbo and the 'twice-pipes") as the only remaining pre-fab 240Z exhausts. A pretty sad state, IMO.

Where do you find an original down pipe for your original manifold? I know the muffler has been out of production....... I am sure a muffler shop could make one as long as you find a correct flange that fits original manifold....... Can someone take an action for a group buy??? Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

I bought used headers for my 260z and they seem to line up. The head is square exhaust ports so are the headers. The problem is the intake manafold is 1/2 inch thick and the headers are 1/4 inch thick. How does this work with the circle piece that holds both of these down and together.

Hi -- Do I need to remove the entire dashboard to take the stereo out? I've got two repair and restoration manuals, but neither are specific enough. My '72 240 came with a cassette deck that must be 25 years old, and doesn't work. I removed all visable screws and knobs from the face of the center area around and above the stereo, and have also incidentally removed the center console in order to replace the ashtray and secure a wobbly choke lever. How is the radio / fan cluster area anchored? Any advice is greatly appreciated! -- Thanks so much!

I have a 1975 280z, california car. I pulled the exhaust out and noticed that I have some sort of sensor attached to my catalytic converter. Is that a floor temp sensor.? If I took the catalytic converter out and replaced with a straight pipe, would that pose a problem with the engine performance? In other words, does that sensor attached to the catalytic converter have anything to do with the air fuel ratio? How would I know if my catalytic converter is original? If it is, should it be worth something?

I have a manifold leak, replacing the gasket does not look too hard, only problem i have is the emissions pipe from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold looks like it broke at one time and was welded. Is it possible to leave both connected and slide them off the studs far enough to replace the gasket ?

So in building the 260Z, I plan on a true dual exhaust system. I'm going with the 3-into-2 Ceramic coated header, A dual 2" inlet/dual 2" outlet SS welded muffler w/ internal X-over pipe, etc. I'll let the pictures do the talking.... I'll use the ceramic coated header and put 2" collectors on each pipe. So they can be unbolted easily. This should mount up high near the driveline. It'll look better when it's coated and in the car. This is why I cleaned up the back end. I might renotch the panel depending on where the pipes will sit on each side. The stock exhaust cut-out is now gone. With the R/T mount in and the crossmember cut and modified, There's a lit…

Hey all, I'm looking for a muffler to suit my car. The exhaust as it currently stands is a wrapped 6 to 1 MSA (or clone, it's off a junkyard car) header, and a 2.5" pipe from the header back. I like the sound of this quite a bit: I'm not sure whether that'll be possible while maintaining my neighborhood tranquility, though. So, the impossible dilemma: is there a relatively quiet muffler that gives that sort of sound?

Hubby's 240Z is at the mechanic's. He drove it to work and it ran like a top. When he tried driving home, the engine died and when he started it, it ran rough. Sparks were coming from the muffler as well as black smoke so he limped it around the block and back to the parking lot. The muffler was incredibly hot and an odd burning smell (not like oil though) filled the car. When I got to the lot to pick him up, he started the car up. It sounded fine to me but Hubby said it wasn't running right and that odd smell started in the car again, but I couldn't smell it outside. No smoke from the tail pipe either. We had a cat converter installed a couple months ago as a last-ditch …
