RB30 Turbo Mainfold fit on L28e??

Hi guys, I currently running a semi worked L28e in my 260z and one of my mates if selling a turbo kit out of his VL commodore which is a RB30. I know there heads are aren't much different but does the rb30 manifold bolt on my l28e? thanks guys

Hi Guys, Yes! another exhaust question. I currently have a stock 78 280Z 2+2 and my muffler just fell off. I have a Monza resonator http://i16.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/e6/75/4594_1.JPG that I would like to use and wouldn't be able to put the new muffler in the original location. I was thinking of using a Dynomax turbo muffler http://www.jegs.com/p/Dynomax/744698/10002/-1 by the drive shaft, unfortunately it might be a little tight. Does anyone know of a good round or small oval muffler that I could use. I don't wanted to be loud just a nice sound and would like to also keep the cost down. Another thing, is there anyone running a setup simmilar to this one. Stock engine, stock…

I've been kicking around the thought of getting some monza headers for my 280, and since my exhaust would be in pieces, how about moving the exhaust under the doors? Perhaps like that on the Cobras. How would this look on a z? I've never seen it done before. Any ideas? -Ben

I need some help on what exhaust system to put on my 260. I have a stage I cam,triple webers,and new crane ignition with the mallory unilite distibutor. I have a twice pipe system still in the box. but would like some input on what system would give me the best performance and sound????:stupid:

I read the previous posts on this and there was someone trying some customized tip lengths and shapes to help solve the exhaust fume problem. I'd like to know what results he got if he's still around here and can post them. I've go a 73 240 I've had since '76. Its always had an exhaust fume issue with the window(s) down. Since here in Texas we usually always have the AC on its really not much an issue. However, lately the ac is on the fritz and besides it sure would be nice to have a breeze and not be smoked out. The exhaust is an old turbo flow 2.5" from Motosport a long time ago. Basically a big muffler on the end. It has held up remarkably well. I should say that …

Do they remake the stock downpipe by any chance? The one I have is done with. I was bidding on a brand new, never been used one on Ebay, and lost. Pissed off!!!! Any ideas????? Even a decent used one would do.

So, I don't think I am going to do a dual exhaust on my z, I was thinking of a ANZA muffler. I have a Abarth muffler with dual tips that has been on the car for 15 years, that I put on to replace the factory dual system. I still have the factory header. Does anyone have a picture of a Anza muffler? Thanks in advance, Bob

I'm looking for an original exhaust downpipe (from the exhaust manifold to just below the firewall) for my 73. I'm running the stock manifolds and plan to use an MSA exhaust system, but had to cut the downpipe to get the motor out. I'm at a loss trying to figure the best option available to complete my exhaust system. I am using the header that came as a Sports Option (14004-E4620) and the second section that I don't have a number for. I believe it was originaly from the same car as the header. It's pictured here. I have never seen the last section for sale anywhere and will have to fabricate one. Here's the question. Has anyone seen or know where to find a 2 in & 2 out muffler such as the original or close to it? Each pipe is 50mm OD or a little less than 2" OD.

What is this Valve?

I am removing my original air filter and adding the K&N "tuna cans" on my Z. I have determined what to do with the hoses that go into the back of the original air filter housing, but am curious about the valve pictured below. What is it? Did it have something to do with the smog pump (which has been removed)? I am probably going to plug the line from this valve to the original air filter housing, was thinking of removing the valve completely. Your thoughts?

I have a 1978 Z and recently got a problem with fumes. I drive the Z around and these fumes make my eyes watery and I come out smelling like fumes. Can any one help me eliminate this problem.
