The orange 240Z craigslist ad I see listed intrigues me because I remember spotting this car repeatedly over the years heading down Broadway Ave here. It is orange like my first Z. I recognize the car because of the name on the license plate. There are some other Zs on craigslist now too. Saw this on CL and called the seller to get more info. Originally from CA but been in TX for several years. Has a little rust on the rear quarters but he says the floors are good. The seats were recovered in velour sometime ago and needs replacing. Says its runs, rides, and shifts good. 5spd is out of a 280zx, forgot to ask what kind of diff it has. He said the hood and right fender have been replaced from a red car and it shows where the paint has come off under the hood. Also needs a passenger side door latch. He says he is pretty firm at $4K but its been up for several weeks. Seems like a good start to a project or restoration. 1972 Datsun 240Z

Just saw this over on Hybridz. Don't know if it's free or not. Eastern Washington is dry country. 2/70 240Z found in field - S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z - HybridZ Here's the text, Phantom is the guy. VIN on this car ends in 1749 and data plate says mfg in 2/70. Has a valve cover that says "Datsun 2400 OHC" and an intact pointy top radio antenna. Some rust in rear fenders and along bottom of hatch opening. Doors good. Interior a mess but mostly there. Minor body dings. Bumpers are straight. This car is going to a crusher unless someone wants.
