Hey everyone! I've been searching around Ebay, taking a look at common parts that might be useful for my 240Z sometime in the future (clutch kits, water pumps, etc). I just wanted to hear what kind of parts you guys bought from Ebay, and I was wondering how they're working out for you! Appreciate it guys =) I've been trying to restore the original steering wheel and shift knob...i thought that was gonna be easy...ha :stupid:

Well, I stayed in the bidding up to nearly $30, but it's now up to $125 which is too rich for my blood. There's a nice looking Rally Clock on ebay and I don't think the seller knew what he had and is probably delightfully surprised about how much his clock and two gauges are going for. I've already got one of these clocks, so if you're looking for one and have more cash than you know what to do with, you might check this out. Do it soon, though, as time is flying and the auction ends in less than an hour. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=34206&item=2459426376&sspagename=STRK%3AMEABBI%3AIT I thought I might get ano…

Spotted a CSP311 Silvia for sale on craigslist. Located in Las Vegas. Cars was bought new in Japan in 1965, then sent to the USA in 1970, to the owners son. It was then bought by the current owners father in 1971, who lived across the street. Looks to be in good condition, apart from being painted the wrong colour. It's car number 78. CSP311-70078. It's expensive nearly $40,000, but its one of four or five in North America that I'm aware of. Came upon the below auction, and since it is not too far away, looked a little closer. Something seemed a bit odd about the car, what do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300275847579&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123 Listed as a '71 240Z with HLS30 29519, yet something seems a bit odd. I emailed the seller and asked about the discrepancies and was basically told to F-off: (photos provided for posterity):

Not a Datsun but quite a surprise for the seller. The opening bid was $500. Rusty old car, no engine or transmission, evidence of a racing history. Pretty cool story this car almost went to scrap metal. 1 of 6 ultra rare Pontiac SD Tempest cars in 1963. Be sure to login to eBay (if you have an account) to see all 38 questions from the buyers. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110306170567 http://njection.com/blogs/autoblog/archive/2008/11/10/ebay-find-of-the-day-1963-lemans-tempest-sells-for-226-521.aspx

There is a vendor on eBay - "datsun-parts" - that has a bunch of nice items, including rebuilt E31 and E88 heads. Anyone know if it's a reputable vendor? Has a bunch of feedback, 99.2% positive, but as I've been a vendor on eBay for nearly 7 years, I am always wary. If anyone has any experience, let me know. The price on the E31 and E88 seem reasonable (~$325.00 per), which I thought was cheap, but that also had me questioning if it's legit.
