  1. I just purchased an 81 Datsun 280zx that wouldn't start. I combed through lots of forums to figure out a starting/ignition issue. Here are some things I discovered to help narrow down the problem. Maybe this will help others. Car would only crank while in neutral. The park/neutral switch is possibly bad. I moved on to the next item as I could get engine to crank in neutral, but still no start. I then identified that I wasn't getting a spark from the ignition coil. I noticed that the coil positive/negative connections were incorrect which I fixed, but that didn't help.     Spotted this problem with the AC clutch in my 1983 280ZX Turbo while changing the sway bar bushings. Looks like a rivet let go. I removed the AC belt so the compressor won't be spinning at all, but looks like I'll need a clutch. I'll be looking for one!

    Does anyone happen to know the bolt to bolt measurement on a factory turbo exhaust flange? The four bolts to the downpipe and if they are symmetrical.

    I don't know if this is the right place to post, but I recently put a harness in on my 79 S130 and now the rear seat's effectively useless. I don't know what use the single seat would be to anyone, but if you want it get in contact and it's yours for the price of shipping.

  6. Hello everyone. I’m taking my 1981 280ZX to the International Show in July 2022 in Alabama. Every time I search on line I get tons of non Nissan battery brands. Does a genuine NISMO Nissan 12 volt battery even exist? I want it to be the premium NISSAN battery, with logos, since the judges take note of these things. I want to get the Primo Primo Nissan 12 volt battery with the logo on the battery. Can anyone provide any help? Thank you! I won 1st place in the Peoples Choice in the 2021 Brandon Missouri ZFest and took 2nd place twice in the Route 66 Car Show in Springfied Illinois. So, I have a contender but I need an exclusive Nissan battery!!

    Hello, I own a 280Z and in the book "How to Modify Your Nissan & Datsun OHC Engine" by Frank Honsowetz he describes enlarging the oil-jet from 2.0 mm to 3.17 mm to increase oil flow to the head to improve oil lubrication of the Cam and rocker arms. I found out that the L28ET uses a different oil pump and different oil jets. Unfortunaly, I cannot find the bore size of these jets anywhere and I am really curious if the Nissan engineers increased the oil flow to the cylinder head for the Turbo version. Does anybody have the opportunity to measure the openings of the oil jets for me? Thank you very much.
