Here is a tricky one! I'm confident some expert out there might know the answer. I have a 1983 280ZX 2+2....which has the digital dashboard. What I don't understand is that even with the pedal to the metal, the speedometer tops out at 85 MPH. Going downhill, with the pedal to the metal, I should certainly see a readout of higher than 85 MPH. I understand if it was only a two digit LED readout, that technically, it would top out at 99 MPH. Has anyone ever heard of this? Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I have a 1980 280ZX, purchased new, always garaged, parked since 1986. Everything original, actual miles about 36,000. Dark red coupe with red interior,no "T" tops, 5-speed manual. Would likely need gas tank drained, fuel injectors cleaned, oil change and new battery. Otherwise, should run like new. Interior excellent, exterior very good, with a few "parking lot dings". Thinking of selling this car, wondered what it might be worth to the right buyer.

This car needs to purchased by someone that can keep it in a climate controlled setting. Driving it would be a crime. Very nice car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-280ZX-1-229-Original-Miles-Museum-Quality-/270868797454?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3f1109d80e

I was at Harrys U pull it today in west hazelton Pennsylvania they have a 83 280zx in there and its not really rotted just weathered but was complete with a really crappy whale tail on it it was a 1983 T top 5 speed car motors still in it as is the interior no its not a turbo but I got the T tops, trans and rear from the car, they are med on their prices but you have to get there quick cars get stipped fast there and are usually crunched in a month to make room for new arrivals and it still has its spoked mags on it as well best of luck guys
