Just like to show my new toy. Im going to take all the parts I need to finish my 240 z from this car. The engine is running fine, but I like to swap to carbs and then get some tripples for the second engine. It is very difficult to find these cars here in Panama, so decided to pick up this one as a parts car. Probably I can give this body to a friend of mine who wants to build a car.

This is the quick rundown I have an 81 non turbo. It overheats bad pretty quick. The cooling system(radiator, fan, water pump, thermostat) has all been replaced recently and is in good working condition. My thoughts are broken headgasket. There is no mixing of oil and coolant so I would assume it is broken between cylinders. I compression tested it and these are the results: 1. 174 2. 156 3. 155 4. 160 5. 173 6. 179 I have not diagnosed many engines, is the psi difference great enough on cylinders 2 and 3 to warrant my belief that it is a headgasket? Any other thoughts/ideas? Side note: The test was done cold. The car has been sitting for a while and I have been ti…

hey i own a 280zx unknown year i know its between 79-83 but theres no title for it :x it hasnt been drove in 17 years but has been moved around im wanting to get it running but has no clue about datsun engines seeing as how i drive a turboed eclipse and im only 17 :X

Hello all! I am new here, but not to the world of car forums in general. I did do a search, but couldn't really find anything that helped me, so I hope you won't mind me posting a new thread. I don't currently have a Z, but for many years, Ive known about this one that sits off of a dirt road in the boonies, pretty much abandoned. Going thro my Z I replaced the fuel pump and got ready to pressurize, but the tank was empty, so I poured 2 gal in... only to find it all over the floor. I had pinholes in the tank.... THAT's why there was no gas in the tank... So - do I patch it? or buy a new tank? Where do I get a tank... No sites on the internet that come up have one...
